I really need to figure out which Canon RF lens I should grab for landscape work like right now because I'm leaving for a big trip to the Dolomites in ten days and I still haven't pulled the trigger on a wide angle. I'm shooting on an R6 and I've been staring at comparison videos for weeks but I'm just getting more confused the more I read. I keep seeing people rave about the RF 14-35mm f/4L IS USM because it’s wider and way lighter for hiking but then other guys on the forums swear by the 15-35mm f/2.8L for those sunrise shots or if I want to try some astro while I'm out there in the mountains.

I'm worried that if I go with the f/4 I'm gonna regret it when the light gets low or if I want to do some milky way stuff at the Tre Cime peaks but then again is the extra 1mm on the wide end of the 14-35mm actually a huge deal for big mountain vistas? My budget is roughly $2,200 max so I can afford either one really but the weight is a huge factor for me because I'm gonna be trekking for like 6-8 hours a day through the Alta Via 1 trail and my pack is already gonna be heavy enough with all my camping gear and food. I also saw some people mentioning the RF 24-105mm f/4L as a one-lens solution for landscapes but I feel like I'd miss out on that super wide look for the jagged peaks and lake reflections.

Then there's the 14-35mm edge sharpness issue I read about where some people say it relies too much on digital correction to fix the vignetting and distortion at 14mm and that makes me nervous about spending two grand on a lens that isnt perfect glass wise. I'm honestly paralyzed by the choice and the clock is ticking and I need to order this by Wednesday to get it in time for the flight. I've even thought about the cheap 16mm prime but I feel like I need the zoom versatility for framing. Is the f/2.8 really a game changer for mountain sunrises or should I just stick to the lighter f/4 and use a tripod...

Okay so my best friend is throwing me a bridal shower in April and Im so excited but honestly Im totally lost on the gift part. I was looking at Amazon because everyone uses it but I saw there is an option for a registry and also something about a shared cart? Or maybe I just add stuff to a list and give them the link?

Sorry if this is a really dumb question but I have literally never done this before and I dont want to mess it up. I want to make sure people dont buy the same thing twice because that would be awkward to return stuff while living in a small apartment in Chicago lol. Like if I use a shared cart can people just see what I want and buy it or does it not track if someone already got it? I have a budget of mostly under 50 dollar items because I dont want to stress my friends out.

Does the registry thingy automatically hide stuff once its bought? Im just worried I will do it wrong and end up with five of the same toaster or something. How do I actually set it up so it works for a party?

So I am finally redoin my spare bedroom into a home office slash guest space and I am finding it super annoying to keep track of all the different furniture pieces I want across like four different stores. I am looking at stuff on Wayfair, West Elm, and even some smaller boutique places but I really want to just have one single link or dashboard where I can see if things go on sale because my budget is pretty firm at $1500 for the whole project. I have been looking at a few tools to help manage this. I tried Karma

I think it was called Shoptagr before?

and it seems okay but the browser extension slows down my laptop a lot. Then there is Honey with the droplist feature but I feel like it misses half the sites I actually shop at. I also saw something called Lyst but that seems mostly for fashion so I dont know if it will even work for a desk or a rug. I am leaning toward sticking with Karma but the lag is real and I am worried it wont catch a flash sale on the rug I want before it sells out. I need to get this all ordered by the end of next month before my sister comes to visit so timing is kind of tight. Between Karma and Honey or maybe even just a manual Google Sheet with some kind of script, what actually works best for tracking prices across different retailers in one spot?

Does anyone know a free chrome extension that lets you generate a link to an Amazon cart with specific items already in it? I feel so dumb asking this because it probably sounds easy but I am trying to help my aunt out with her birthday shopping and she is not tech savvy at all. Like she barely knows how to use her mouse so sending her ten different links to click on is going to be a total disaster for her.

I am trying to get this done by Friday before she goes on vacation. I looked at some stuff called Share-a-Cart but I wasnt sure if it costs money or if there are better ones out there that people trust more. I just want something where I can add a bunch of stuff like:

a small blender

some blue towels

a metal toaster

I just want to send her one single link so she can click it and have everything show up in her cart ready to go. Do these things actually work? I dont want to accidentally give her a virus or mess up her computer since I have no idea how these browser add-on things even get installed. I am totally new to using anything other than just regular Google. Is there a simple way to do this without being a computer genius? I just dont want to make it harder for her...

I need help like right now because I’m trying to get this specific De'Longhi espresso machine for my sister’s 30th birthday and the price is literally all over the place. I checked it yesterday and it was $180 then I checked this morning and it was $215 and now its back to $195 and I’m just so confused how people keep track of this stuff without sitting at their computer hitting refresh every five minutes?? I really dont have much money to spend since I'm working part-time and my total budget for this gift is exactly $150 including tax so I really need to catch it when it hits a deep discount.

Sorry if this is a really dumb question but I have no idea where to even start or if these tools are even safe to use like do I have to give them my Amazon login? I really hope not because that sounds scary. I just moved to Columbus and things are already expensive enough I just want to find a deal. I keep seeing people talk about trackers but I dont know if those are apps for my phone or things I have to install on my browser? I'm using a really old laptop so I dont want to break anything.

My main requirements are:

has to be 100% free with no hidden fees or pro versions

really easy to understand because I am not a tech person at all

something that can send me an alert on my phone or email

works for the US store

shows me a graph maybe? i saw a picture of a graph once that showed old prices

I tried looking on the app store but there were so many things and some of them had weird reviews saying they didnt work. I'm really worried I'm gonna miss the lowest price and then I wont have a gift for her party next Friday which would be a total disaster since shes been wanting this for years. Is there a specific one that is the gold standard for beginners? I'm just so lost...

I just snagged a used Nikon Z6 from a guy locally here in Chicago and I am honestly so stoked to get shooting with it. I have a wedding gig coming up as a second shooter in three weeks so I need to get this rig finalized fast. Ive got about $500 left in my budget for accessories and I am spiraling a bit. I did some digging and everyone says the XQD cards are a must but then I see some firmware updates let you use CFexpress Type B? I found a SanDisk one online but then read a thread saying they run hot in the Z6 compared to the Sony Tough cards so now I dont know which way to go.

Then there is the battery situation. My logic was just buy two extra EL-15c batteries and call it a day but then I saw people swearing by those dummy batteries for long shoots or just using a power bank via USB-C. Does the Z6 even charge while you are using it? I read conflicting things about the original Z6 vs the II on that. Also considering a screen protector and maybe a better strap because the stock Nikon ones always dig into my neck after an hour. Is a cage overkill if I am mostly doing stills and maybe a bit of handheld b-roll? Just trying to make sure I dont waste money on stuff that will just sit in my bag...

We have like 8 guys and everyone wants to chip in for different stuff like specialized snacks and some hiking gear we need for the trip to Colorado. Im torn between using the Share-A-Cart browser extension or just trying to use that built-in Amazon Manage Your List thing but honestly the Amazon one feels so clunky and I heard it doesnt actually let people add stuff to a single checkout cart easily.

Theres also this app called CartX I saw mentioned on Reddit but I dont know if its legit or just gonna steal my login info. Here is what I need:

Needs to be instant since I gotta order by tomorrow for shipping

Has to be easy for non-tech guys to use

Free is better because we already blew the budget on the Airbnb

Must let multiple people add items so I can just pay once and they venmo me

Im leaning toward Share-A-Cart because it seems the most straightforward but Im worried about it glitching out with 8 people adding stuff at once. Has anyone used these for a big group buy before?
