I just got the DJI Avata 2 and I am honestly so scared to even touch it let alone fly it yet lol. But here is the thing, I have a big hiking trip to Oregon coming up next Friday and I really want to take it with me to get some cool shots of the mountains. The box it came in is huge and obviously I cant just carry that around in my backpack or whatever. I tried looking online but there are so many options and I dont know what the difference is between a hard case and a soft one or if the drone will even fit with the goggles and the controller thingy. I spent way too much money on this thing so I really dont want it to get crushed in my luggage if the airline people are mean to my bag.

I need to fit all the parts in one spot:

the drone itself

those big goggles

the remote controller

maybe some extra batteries

Does it need to be waterproof? I saw some that look like little suitcases but maybe that is too heavy for hiking? I have like $75 left in my budget for this and I need to order it like today so it gets here in time for my flight. Sorry if this is a super basic question I am just really overwhelmed with all the gear and dont want to break my new toy on day one. What is the best carrying case for the DJI Avata 2?

Just pulled the trigger on the Mini 4 Pro and I am honestly so stoked to get this thing in the air for my trip to the Isle of Skye next month. I've been watching like a million YouTube videos but honestly my head is spinning with all the "must-have" lists everyone posts. So I was thinking about grabbing the Fly More combo but I actually just bought the drone and one battery because I was trying to save some cash upfront for specific accessories I might actually need.

My logic was that I could pick and choose better stuff. I read that ND filters are basically mandatory for that cinematic look but then I saw some people saying the Mini 4 Pro handles light so well you barely need them unless its super bright out. Then there's the whole landing pad debate. Like do I really need to carry a giant orange circle around if I can just hand launch? I've got maybe $250 left in my budget to gear this thing up before the trip.

ND filters (is Freewell better than the official DJI ones?)

Carrying case (the one it comes with looks kinda flimsy)

Maybe a faster charger?

I'm just worried about buying stuff that's just gonna sit in my bag. What are the actual essentials that you guys use every single flight? Is the wide-angle lens actually worth it or does it just distort everything...

So I finally pulled the trigger on the Mini 4 Pro after saving up for like six months and its finally sitting on my desk but now I feel like I need a million extra things to actually use it right. Im taking it out to the Oregon coast next month for a big hiking trip and I really want to make sure I have everything sorted before I'm out in the middle of nowhere and realize I forgot a crucial piece of gear.

I spent all last night looking at YouTube reviews and everyone keeps swearing by ND filters. I saw the Freewell ones and then the official DJI ones but honestly I'm confused if I actually need the polarized ones or just regular NDs for video stuff. I read somewhere that the polarized ones can make the sky look all patchy if you rotate the drone the wrong way while filming and that sounds like a nightmare to fix in post. Also saw people arguing about those landing gear leg extensions because the Mini 4 sits so low to the ground. Some guys say it saves the gimbal from tall grass but others say it just catches the wind and makes the drone unstable and ruins the flight time... so which is it?

I've got a few constraints for what I'm looking for:

Budget: Trying to stay under $200 total for all the accessories since the drone already drained my bank account.

Weight: Needs to be super portable because I'm gonna be hiking 10+ miles a day with a heavy pack.

Environment: Lots of coastal wind and potentially damp grass or sand.

Protection: I'm a bit of a klutz so maybe something to keep it safe inside a generic backpack instead of the carry bag it came with.

I already got the Fly More combo so I have the extra batteries and the charging hub but what else is actually essential for a trip like this? Do I need a specific brand of micro SD card or will any high speed one work? And what about those screen protectors for the RC2 controller... are they worth it or do they just make it harder to see in the sun? Just trying not to waste money on gimmicks that are gonna sit in my drawer after one use...

I was looking at the Nanuk 930 since people say its basically bulletproof but then I saw some reviews for the PGYTECH carrying case and now Im just torn. My logic was that the hard shell is better for travel but the Nanuk looks freaking huge and I dont want to be lugging a literal suitcase for just a gimbal. The official DJI case feels kinda flimsy like it wouldnt survive a drop. Budget is around $130. Is the Nanuk overkill or is there something else thats tough but more low profile?

What ND filters are you guys using for the Osmo Pocket 3 that wont fall off or mess up the gimbal calibration? Ive been doing video work for like ten years now so I totally get the math behind shutter speed and keeping that 180 degree rule but man this little camera is picky. I bought the standard DJI set and honestly they feel kinda flimsy and I'm paranoid about the magnets not holding up when the gimbal does its little startup dance. I'm taking this thing to Tokyo in three weeks for a big solo trip and I really dont want to be chasing a tiny piece of glass across a busy intersection in Shibuya because the magnet failed. I need something that stays put but also doesnt cause that annoying color shift towards green or magenta which I've seen on some cheaper brands. I was looking at the Freewell ones because I use them on my drones and they seem solid but then I saw some K&F ones that were cheaper. My budget is around 120 bucks for a full set of ND8 through ND64 maybe a PL filter too. Has anyone noticed if the weight of the heavier filters messes with the motors over time? Looking for something that can handle a lot of movement...
