What is the absolute best mirrorless setup I can get for under a grand right now because I need it by next Friday for my sisters wedding? I have been scouring the web for days and my head is spinning with all these different specs and youtube reviews honestly.

I have basically narrowed it down to maybe the Sony a6400 or the Fujifilm X-T30 II but i cant decide which way to go. I read that the Sony has the best autofocus in the game which sounds perfect for a wedding where everyone is moving around but then people say the Fuji colors are way better and you dont even have to edit them. I am basically a complete beginner so the idea of not having to touch Lightroom or Photoshop is a huge plus because I just dont have the time to learn all that before next week.

But then I see people complaining that the Fuji autofocus can be a bit jumpy in low light and the wedding is in a pretty dim reception hall in downtown Chicago. If I miss the main shots because the camera was hunting for focus my sister is gonna kill me. I have exactly $1,000 to spend and that has to include a lens too... is there a better value option I am totally missing or should I just bite the bullet on one of these? I need to order this like tonight to get it in time.

I was thinking there must be a way to get alerts when the price drops, but my logic was just checking the page every hour which is exhausting and making me super anxious I'll miss a deal. I heard there are tools or browser extensions for this but I have no idea where to start or if they are safe to use. Are there any easy, free tools for this? I really don't want to mess this up...

So I finally did it. Dropped the cash on a Q3 and my bank account is crying but I am literally vibrating with excitement right now. Its so pretty but also feels like I'm carrying a piece of glass worth more than my car around. I leave for Tokyo in about three weeks so I need to get this thing kitted out fast. Since I spent so much on the body I'm trying to be smart about the extras but I dont want cheap junk on a Leica you know? I want it to look good but actually work.

I'm really torn on the protection side of things and I've narrowed it down to these three setups:

The official Leica half case + a match technical thumb grip

The Lim's leather half case (love the tripod plate) + a silk rope strap

Just a screen protector and a really high end Oberwerth strap

The Lim's setup is cheaper but the Oberwerth stuff looks incredible but is it really worth the premium? I also cant decide if I should skip the half case entirely and just get a really good thumb grip and a screen protector. I've heard the thumb grip makes a huge difference for one-handed shooting which I'll be doing a lot of on the streets over there since I'll probably have a snack in the other hand lol.

For the strap situation I'm looking at the Peak Design Leash because it's so practical for travel but it feels a bit... techy for this camera. I'm worried about bulk in my carry-on so I need to keep it light and easy to pack. My budget is probably another $300-400 max before my wife kills me and I still need to buy a high speed SD card.

Which combo do you guys think makes the most sense for a high-intensity trip where I'll be walking 20k steps a day? Is the half case overkill if I have a good strap and just stay careful? Or should I go for the protection of the Lim's plus a thumb grip and just call it a day?

Wait, I forgot about the extra battery. Should I prioritize a second battery over the fancy leather accessories...

I am literally so annoyed right now because I have spent the last two hours picking out stuff for my sisters baby shower gift basket and now that I have everything in my cart I realized there is no way to just send the link to my mom so she can see if I missed anything or if she wants to chip in. I have like 25 items in there from diapers to this specific organic swaddle thing she wants and the total is around 320 dollars which is a lot for me to cover alone right now.

I tried to just copy the url from my browser but it just goes to an empty cart when she opens it on her phone which is just so stupid? Like why is this so hard? I dont want to make a public registry because she already has one and these are just the extra bits our family is doing together. Honestly fed up with how many hoops I have to jump through just to show someone what I am about to buy. I have a deadline of Friday to get this ordered so it arrives in time for the weekend and I am panicking a little bit because I dont want to spend another hour making a wishlist and re-adding every single tiny item one by one. Is there some kind of workaround or a button I am missing to just share the actual cart contents via a link?
