I've been researching primes for my a7 IV and I'm stuck between the 35mm GM and the Sigma 1.4. The GM is way over my $1200 budget, but I'm worried the Sigma is too heavy for street shooting here in Seattle. My logic was maybe just get the Sony 1.8... is that a huge step down?

What is the absolute best portrait lens for the Canon R6 that wont break the bank? I have a big family session this Saturday and my old EF glass is acting up.

Man this is driving me crazy. Ive been a Prime member for like a decade and never had this issue before but my cart is just not syncing up across my browsers today. I spent like an hour finding specific supplies for my kids bday party on Sunday and added them all on Chrome at the office but now Im home on Firefox and the cart is literally empty even though Im logged into the same account.

I need to checkout like right now to get two-day shipping or the party is ruined lol. Is there some weird cache issue or a trick to force the server to update the cart across different sessions automatically?

ive been the designated gift coordinator for my entire extended family for like a decade now and i usually have my system down to a science. i use this massive google sheet with color coding for bought, shipped, and wrapped but honestly this year everything is just falling apart and im lowkey panicking. i dont know if its the sheer volume of kids now—we have like 14 nieces and nephews to buy for—or just the fact that tracking numbers are all over the place but the spreadsheet just feels clunky and im losing track of what i actually have in the house vs what is still at the warehouse. my husband asked me what we got for his brother and i literally blanked even though i know i clicked buy last tuesday. i feel like i need something more robust than just cells in a sheet but every app i look at is either too simple or looks like it was made in 2005.

im trying to stick to a strict 1500 dollar budget for everyone including the grandmas and my own three kids but when i factor in shipping costs and those sneaky service fees from some of these niche toy sites i feel like the math is getting away from me. i really need a better way to organize this before december hits and i totally lose my mind. here is what i need to find:

Which compact lens should I buy for travel with a Canon R6 because honestly im so fed up with my current setup. I have the 24-70mm f2.8 and it is just way too heavy to carry around all day like seriously my neck is killing me after just a couple hours and it makes me not even want to take the camera out of the bag. I spent all this money on the R6 thinking it would be this great lightweight mirrorless experience but with these massive L lenses it feels just as bulky as my old 5D which is super frustrating.

Im heading to Italy in three weeks for a ten day trip and I really dont want to be lugging a huge camera backpack everywhere while my family is actually enjoying the sights and im just over here struggling with gear. I need something small that I can just leave on the camera and maybe stick in a small sling bag or even a jacket pocket if thats even possible. My budget is around $500 maybe $700 if its really worth it but I really just want something light that wont break my back. Ive been looking at:

the rf 35mm 1.8 macro

that tiny 50mm nifty fifty

maybe the 28mm pancake?

Is the 28mm actually any good or is it too cheap feeling? I just want to take nice photos of the streets and maybe some food without feeling like a pro photographer on a high stakes mission its just so exhausting carrying all this glass...

Planning a cabin trip to the Poconos next month and need to coordinate supplies between five of us. Im stuck between making a shared Amazon list or just using a Google Doc. My logic was that Amazon is better since we all have Prime and can see prices, but I cant figure out if everyone can actually add items to the same list.

I dont want to be the only one who can edit it because that's just more work for me. Can you actually invite people to contribute or is it just for viewing? If not maybe Elfster is the way to go even though it feels like overkill for a grocery run...
