I finally pulled the trigger on a used Dura Black X-Pro3 for my trip to Tokyo next month but honestly im terrified of dropping it. The body is so much slicker than I expected and my hands are kinda on the larger side so it just feels like it wants to slide right out of my palm whenever I walk around with it.

Ive been looking into some options and I saw the official Fujifilm MHG-XPRO3 grip but then I read some forum posts saying it adds too much weight and makes the camera feel bulky which kinda defeats the purpose of the X-Pro series right? I also looked at the Lensmate thumb rest because everyone says its the gold standard but then I saw a couple people complaining that it makes reaching the back dial a huge pain or it might scratch the hot shoe mount over time. I really need to get this sorted before I leave in three weeks because I dont want to be fumbling with my gear in the middle of Shinjuku.

My budget is about 150 bucks for both the grip and the thumb rest if possible. Should I just stick with the official stuff or is there some third party brand like Squarehood or JJC that actually feels better in the hand? I just want it to feel secure without ruining the look of the camera...

Which price tracker actually works best for Newegg because I am losing my mind trying to keep track of these component prices? I am trying to finish a build for my freelance editing work by next Friday since I have a big contract starting then, and my budget is capped at exactly $1,800. If I go over even a little bit my wife is gonna kill me lol. I have been looking at PCPartPicker but I feel like their price history for Newegg is sometimes a bit laggy or it misses the short-term promo codes that Newegg loves to use. Then I looked at Slickdeals but that feels more like a community thing than a tracker. I'm also considering the Honey extension but I've heard mixed things about it actually catching the lowest price versus just giving me some random coupon that doesn't work. I am super anxious that I'll pull the trigger on a 4070 Ti and then see it for 80 bucks less on Monday. Newegg prices jump around so much it is honestly making me sick to my stomach. Should I lean toward PCPartPicker for the history charts or is there something better that handles the Newegg specific flash sales and promo codes? I really need something that alerts me instantly so I dont miss out...

I did some digging and saw a thread saying Nike sometimes has secret outlet links but then another site said most IG ads are scams if the URL doesnt end in .com so im just torn. I really want this to be real because the prices are insane.

My goals:

get some Pegasus or maybe some Jordans if they have em

spend less than $60 total

get shipping fast before my race in Phoenix next week

Does anyone know if these nike-clearance-store-online type sites are legit or am I just gonna get my card info stolen...

So I finally upgraded to the a7R IV last year and I love the resolution but man, my old cheapo flash is just not cutting it anymore for the portrait work I'm starting to get. I've got this gig for a local clothing shop here in Seattle in about three weeks and I need to get my lighting situation sorted out before then because I really want these shots to look professional. I've been doing a ton of reading and I'm basically stuck between three different paths and my brain is kind of mush at this point.

My logic was to maybe go with the Sony HVL-F60RM2 since it's native. I figured it would play nice with the a7R IV's specific autofocus features and I wouldnt have to worry about weird glitches or the flash not firing when I'm using the eye-tracking stuff. But the price is steep. It's like 550 bucks which is right at the top of my budget and I'm not sure if the build quality justifies it.

Then there's the Godox V1-S. Everyone on YouTube seems to love this thing. I really like the idea of the round head for softer light falloff on people's faces and it's way cheaper, almost half the price of the Sony. I could basically get two for the price of one Sony unit but I've heard people complain about the hot shoe being a bit flimsy and the last thing I want is a flash snapping off during a session. I also looked at the V860III as a more traditional option but I'm torn.

Here is what I am considering:

Sony HVL-F60RM2 (Native but expensive)

Godox V1-S (Round head, great price)

Godox V860III (Solid backup choice)

I'm leaning toward the V1 because of the magnetic accessories but then I think about the Sony reliability and I hesitate... like is there a real difference in how the camera talks to the flash? Does the a7R IV actually perform better with a Sony flash in terms of the eye-tracking or is that just marketing talk? I'm mostly doing indoor portraits so I need something that wont overheat if I'm shooting fast. Which one would you guys go with if you were in my shoes?

I'm leaving for Tokyo in literally three weeks and I'm freaking out a bit because I just committed to shooting this mini-doc on the Sigma fp and the setup is just not ready. It's such a tiny beast but man the ergonomics are just... not there for professional work. I spent all night looking at rigs and I'm more lost than when I started.

I saw everyone online recommending the SmallRig cage and the official LVF-11 loupe, but honestly, doesn't that just kill the whole smallest full frame vibe? I want it to stay somewhat low profile so I dont look like a total tourist with a cinema rig, but I still need it to be functional for 8-hour shoot days. People say the LVF-11 is a must for focus but it looks massive in every photo I see and I'm worried about it fitting in my carry-on.

My constraints are pretty tight:

Budget: I can drop about $900 max on accessories right now

Use case: Fast-paced street documentary and handheld b-roll

Battery: I need a way to keep this thing alive because these internal batteries are a joke

Audio: Needs a decent mount for a shotgun mic that doesnt feel flimsy

Should I go for a side handle with a dummy battery or just buy like 15 spares? Also is there any middle ground for the viewfinder that isn't that giant plastic box? I'm really running out of time to get this shipped...

My 30th birthday is coming up in about three weeks and my family keeps bugging me for what I want but honestly Im so bad at this stuff. I started making a list on a piece of paper but then I realized I cant exactly mail that to everyone in my group chat because its like 15 people and some live over in Ohio while Im in Florida. So I was thinking maybe I should just type it out in a big text message but then if someone buys something how do the others know? I dont want to end up with three of the same coffee grinder even though I really need one lol.

My logic was that there might be some kind of website or app where I can just put links to the things I like-mostly stuff under $50 like books and kitchen gadgets-and then just send one link to the whole family. But then I got stuck thinking what if my grandma cant figure out how to open it or if she has to make a password? That would be a disaster because she gets frustrated so easily with her phone. Is there a way to do this where its just like a simple webpage they can see? Sorry if this is a really dumb question I just have no idea where to even start looking for something like that or if Im overthinking the whole thing... maybe a shared notes app? But I dont know if that works for everyone.
