my logic was that simpler is better for a total newbie like me but then i got worried that the simpler one might miss the actual lowest price points or something. i looked at the keepa extension and it just looks so cluttered with all those different colored lines and i dont even know what half of them mean like the buy box stuff is that even relevant for someone just buying one thing? i just need to know when the price hits like 450 or lower.

then i read that camel doesnt even track certain categories or third party stuff as well as keepa does and now im just confused if that even matters for a kitchen appliance. is keepa actually worth learning for a one-time purchase or is that just for people who do reselling for a living... just want to make sure i dont miss a genuine price drop because i picked the wrong tool.

i basically spent most of my savings on the camera and the kit lens so i only have maybe 200 dollars left for extra stuff. i keep hearing about spare batteries because apparently these cameras die fast? and what about the memory card thingy... i bought one but i dont know if its enough for a whole week of photos and videos. do i need a special bag or can i just wrap it in a t-shirt and put it in my backpack?

i am also really scared of scratching the glass on the front or the screen on the back. i have never owned a real camera before so i am a total newbie and feel kinda dumb asking this but what are the absolute must-have things i should get before i get on the plane so i dont mess up my first big trip?

How do I make a wishlist on Amazon that multiple people can actually edit and add stuff to? Honestly im so fed up with their current setup because it feels like I'm hitting a wall every time I try to set this up for my sister's baby shower next month. We're in Chicago and trying to coordinate with family all over the country but the invite button just seems to let people view the list or maybe buy things off it but it wont let my mom or my aunt actually add their own ideas or items they found. its driving me crazy because I'm the one who has to do all the manual work of adding every single thing they text me and it's taking forever.

i thought there was a collaborative setting but i cant find it anywhere in the app or on the desktop site and im starting to panic because the invitations are supposed to go out on Friday. I've already tried:

looking under list settings

searching the help pages

clicking every invite link I can find

is it even possible anymore? I read somewhere online they might have removed the feature or maybe im just looking in the wrong place but honestly if i cant get this fixed i might have to move the whole thing to a different site like MyRegistry which would be a total nightmare since everyone already has amazon accounts and it's just easier for the older folks. has anyone figured out a workaround or a hidden setting for this? or did they seriously just kill the feature for no reason...

I'm trying to stay under $900 for my new sim racing setup but every time I think I found a deal it's gone by the time I get my wallet out.

I tried setting up CamelCamelCamel since everyone says it's the gold standard but it only seems to care about Amazon and half the time the deal it flags is actually just a used warehouse deal which I don't want. Then I tried Keepa but the interface is a total nightmare and I can't figure out how to filter for just the new condition or set it to alert me on my phone instantly. I keep seeing people on Reddit saying they got these insane open-box or flash sales at Best Buy or Dell directly but these extensions don't seem to track those sites well at all.

Is there a better way to do this or am I just using these things wrong? Do I need to be running like five different extensions at once just to catch a single sale on an ultrawide before it sells out...

I saw some official Canon ones but my logic was why spend 400 dollars if a cheaper one does the same thing but then I read reviews saying the cheap ones overheat or dont talk to the camera right.

So I finally pulled the trigger on the a7R V after shooting on a beat up a7 III for years and man the resolution is insane but its making all my old glass look kind of soft. I've got this big trip coming up to the Dolomites in late September—literally three weeks away—and I’m freaking out a little bit because I dont have a proper wide angle that can actually handle the 61 megapixels. I’m mostly a landscape guy, love those big mountain vistas and long exposures by the water so I need something sharp edge to edge.

I’ve narrowed it down to three choices but I keep going back and forth. First is the 16-35mm GM II. It’s the obvious choice, right? Light, fast, supposedly improved over the first version which I heard was hit or miss on the R series bodies. But it’s pricey and basically eats my entire $2,300 budget. Then there’s the 12-24mm f/2.8 GM which would be incredible for those tight valley shots but the bulbous front element scares the hell out of me because I use filters constantly and those 150mm systems are a nightmare to hike with.

The smart move might be just getting the Sony 20mm f/1.8 G and maybe the 35mm GM. I’d save money and the 20mm is legendary for sharpness but I worry I’ll miss the flexibility of a zoom when I’m stuck on a cliffside and cant move my feet. My back isn't what it used to be so weight is definitely a factor too... hiking 10 miles a day with a heavy kit sounds less than ideal.

If you were me, would you just bite the bullet on the 16-35 GM II for the versatility or go with the primes to save weight and cash? Is the 12-24 really that much of a headache for landscape work with the filter situation? Just want to make sure I dont regret this when I'm staring at those peaks...
