honestly im getting so fed up with newegg and their constant price jumping its making my head spin. im trying to put together a mid range build for my younger brother for his high school graduation in june and i have a strict 1200 dollar budget for the whole thing including a monitor so every penny really counts right now. every time i think i found a decent deal on a gpu or some ddr5 ram the price literally changes the next morning or it says it is a massive sale but i have a sneaking suspicion it was actually twenty bucks cheaper like two weeks ago and they just raised the base price to make the discount look better. it is so frustrating. i tried using honey for a while but it is so hit or miss with the actual history graphs and half the time it doesnt even show the price movement for the specific part im looking at like the asus tuf gaming cards or the seasonic power supplies i prefer. i used to rely on pcpartpicker but even that feels a little delayed sometimes especially when things go out of stock fast or those weird promo codes come into play that only work for three hours. i just want something reliable that sits in my browser and tells me the truth about whether im getting ripped off or not. i spent like four hours last night comparing b650 motherboards only to find out the one i finally picked jumped 35 bucks while it was sitting in my cart and i seriously almost lost it lol. i need something that works specifically well for newegg because i have about 200 dollars in store credit there from an rma last year that i need to use up before the summer starts. is there anything actually good like camelcamelcamel but that actually tracks newegg properly? i looked at keepa but that is basically just for amazon stuff. it is just so exhausting trying to keep track of all these shell shocker deals and limited time offers manually in a google sheet which is what i have been doing like a total maniac. what extension are you guys actually using that isnt just bloatware trying to sell me data or random coupons i dont want? i just need the raw price history so i can finally finish this build...
