i really need to get this sorted by friday for my housewarming party because me and my girlfriend are both adding stuff to our carts and its a total mess. were in austin and just moved in so we need a ton of gear. i checked out amazon household but that just lets us share prime shipping and doesnt actually show each others live carts as far as i can tell. i also saw an extension called share-a-cart but people say it crashes and im sketched out by the security. is there an actual app or a reliable way to keep our carts synced in real time so we dont double buy? how do people even do this...

Saw this today and totally get the frustration. In my experience, real-time syncing across accounts is super buggy and a huge privacy risk. I have tried many extensions over the years but they always break. I actually found a solid workaround for this over on Smartphone Board.
- create a shared wish list
- add everything there first
- move to cart right before checkout It stopped my wife and I from ordering two identical microwaves last year, so it works.

Regarding what #1 said about "Saw this today and totally get the frustration....", you should seriously just use a private Housewarming Registry! It is amazing for this stuff because it is free and syncs way better than those buggy extensions. Items drop off the list once they are bought so you wont end up with two blenders! I love this method so much. I was struggling with the same thing and Smartphone Board had the answer I needed for our team.
