How do I set my Amazon wishlist to public for easy link sharing?

I am so tired of Amazon making everything so complicated lol. My 30th birthday is in like two weeks and my friends keep bugging me for a gift list since I just moved into a tiny studio in Chicago and need very specific small appliances that dont take up much room. I spent like three hours picking out stuff like a slim Keurig and this specific nesting bowl set but now I cant figure out how to actually let people see the damn thing. I feel like an idiot but the settings are buried under like five menus and I am just getting annoyed at this point.

I am stuck between two ways to do this and honestly neither seems to be working right now. I tried clicking the

  • Invite - button at the top and it gave me a link but then my sister said she had to log in to see it which I dont want. Then I tried going into the
  • Manage List - settings to toggle it to public but its grayed out for some reason? Or maybe I should just scrap the whole thing and make one of those
  • Idea Lists - instead of a regular wishlist because I heard those are easier to share but I dont know if my friends can still see what has been bought already so I dont get three of the same thing.

Which one of these is actually the standard way to make it so I can just text a link to my group chat and they can just click it and buy stuff without it being a whole ordeal? I really dont want to spend another hour clicking around in the app...

I'd suggest being careful with public lists tho because they sometimes hide the best discount prices. To save my friends money, I just use Cart To Link to share my cart directly. Its free and avoids that login mess, so they can grab budget-friendly stuff easily without an ordeal.
