I've been staring at this Breville Barista Pro for weeks but $850 is just way over my budget right now. My sister is visiting my new apartment in like three weeks and I really wanted a nice coffee setup by then but I'm broke lol.
I looked at camelcamelcamel but the site looks so outdated and clunky I'm scared it wont ping me fast enough. Then people said use Honey but I'm not on my computer all day at work. I'm honestly so stressed I'm gonna miss a lightning deal or a random price drop and end up paying full price like an idiot. Is there an app that actually works for this or sends a text?
Did this last week, worked perfectly
Honestly, I totally get the stress. I stalked the same Breville for months before finally snagging it on sale. If you hate the Camel look, you definitely arent alone lol. It works but it feels like it belongs in 2005. I've been super satisfied using Keepa lately instead. It is way more detailed than the others. The graph looks like a mess at first, but once you set a price threshold, the alerts are instant. You can even hook it up to Telegram if you want a phone notification that actually breaks through the noise. If you want something that feels more like a modern app tho, you should definitely check out PricePulse. I've had zero complaints with it for about a year now. Unlike Honey, which is kinda annoying if you arent at your desk, this one is built for your phone. It tracks everything in real-time and the UI is actually clean. It shows you if the sale price is actually a good deal or if the seller just jacked up the price yesterday to make the discount look bigger. I managed to grab my grinder for like 60 bucks off using their push notifications. Between the two, Keepa is better for data nerds, but for just getting a ping while you are at work, that app is the way to go. Good luck with the sister visit, youre gonna love that machine once you finally get it!
saw this earlier but just getting back to you. latency is everything with these scrapers so you might want to consider the refresh interval. i missed a huge drop on my setup last year because my alert had a 15-minute lag. be careful with browser-only tools if you arent at your desk. i would suggest this free price tracker for better mobile pings. just make sure your filters are tight... the data can get messy.
