How do I make a wishlist on Amazon that multiple people can actually edit and add stuff to? Honestly im so fed up with their current setup because it feels like I'm hitting a wall every time I try to set this up for my sister's baby shower next month. We're in Chicago and trying to coordinate with family all over the country but the invite button just seems to let people view the list or maybe buy things off it but it wont let my mom or my aunt actually add their own ideas or items they found. its driving me crazy because I'm the one who has to do all the manual work of adding every single thing they text me and it's taking forever.
i thought there was a collaborative setting but i cant find it anywhere in the app or on the desktop site and im starting to panic because the invitations are supposed to go out on Friday. I've already tried:
is it even possible anymore? I read somewhere online they might have removed the feature or maybe im just looking in the wrong place but honestly if i cant get this fixed i might have to move the whole thing to a different site like MyRegistry which would be a total nightmare since everyone already has amazon accounts and it's just easier for the older folks. has anyone figured out a workaround or a hidden setting for this? or did they seriously just kill the feature for no reason...
Like someone mentioned, that View and Edit link works fine tho. Just saw this.
Basically just click Invite and select View and Edit for full CRUD permissions! Its fantastic for multi-user synchronization. I love how it handles real-time updates. Totally amazing tech!
TL;DR: Try the desktop site, the app is buggy. Im actually pretty happy with how this works for my family lists. No complaints here once it is set up right! Just to check, are you on the mobile app? It can be super glitchy. Try the desktop site and look for the Invite button again to see if the View and Edit link shows up there instead.
