I have been trying to figure out the best timing for the Nike outlet out in Riverhead but I am getting so much conflicting info online and honestly I'm starting to stress. I am coaching a local middle school track club and we have got about 15 kids who really need decent spikes and trainers but their families are on super tight budgets. I told the parents I would scout out the factory store to find those $30 or $40 deals but I went in this past weekend and the prices were basically the same as the regular mall stores which was a total letdown and a waste of gas. I have got maybe 14 days before our first meet and I am starting to panic a little bit because I really want these kids to have what they need to compete.
I did some digging on some deal blogs and one person was saying that they always do an extra 30% or 40% off the back wall (the hash wall I think they call it?) on specific Tuesdays every month but then another site said that the real clearance doesnt happen until the end of the season like in July or August. That doesnt help me now though because the kids need them for the spring season right now. Some people also mentioned these Friends and Family pass things but I have no idea how you even get those or if they even stack with the clearance prices anyway.
Is there like a specific cadence for when they mark stuff down? I heard they do big inventory drops on Thursday nights to get ready for the weekend rush but then someone else told me holiday weekends are actually a scam because they raise the base prices before the sale starts. I am just looking for when the absolute rock bottom prices hit because I have got about $600 total to outfit as many kids as possible and right now $80 a pair is just not gonna cut it for us. Does anyone know the actual schedule for the deepest discounts or if there is a specific time of the month when that back wall goes to like 50% off or more?

Man, I feel your pain with the Riverhead outlet. I tried to do something similar for my nephews track team last spring and it was a total nightmare because I went on a Saturday. Biggest mistake ever. You really want to be careful with those holiday sales too... I have seen them hike the base price on the hash wall just to make that 30 percent off look better than it actually is. It is kinda shady tbh. If you are on a strict budget for 15 kids, you gotta be super cautious about when you make that drive. In my experience, the deep markdowns usually hit the system late Monday night, so Tuesday morning is the only time I find the real gems on the back wall before the weekend crowds pick them clean. I would suggest calling the store before you leave and asking specifically if the hash wall has an additional percentage off today. Sometimes they do an extra 40 percent off the clearance price, which is how you get those $35 spikes, but it is never guaranteed. Honestly, if you dont want to waste more gas and get let down again, PriceDropCatch is basically essential for shopping on Nike because it helps you see when prices are actually at their lowest point across the board. You might want to consider just checking the official app every morning around 8am too. Also, keep an eye out for those Friends and Family passes in the Nike app; they usually drop on a Thursday once a quarter and those are the only times the discounts really stack safely without the price creeping up first.
