What are the actually good DSLR deals for Prime Day 2026 or is it all just mirrorless leftovers now? Ive been shooting weddings for like 12 years and I still prefer the optical viewfinder on my old Nikon but the shutter count is getting scary high. Im based in Oregon so I usually save on tax anyway but I need a solid backup body under $1600 before my July season kicks off. Every time I check the listings lately its just Z-mount stuff or tiny vlogging kits which is super annoying. Are we thinking there will be any actual Canon 90D or D850 stock left or should I just give up and buy used from a local shop instead of waiting for the Amazon sale...

In my experience, finding brand-new DSLRs on Prime Day has become a real hunt lately since the industry moved toward mirrorless almost entirely. I've tried many different setups over the years, and honestly, if you're dead set on that optical viewfinder, you're right to stick with what works for you. For that $1600 budget, keep an eye out for these specific listings:
- Nikon D850 45.7MP Full-Frame DSLR Body
- Canon EOS 90D 32.5MP APS-C DSLR
- Nikon D780 24.5MP FX-Format DSLR If Amazon doesnt have a direct sale, check the warehouse section for the Nikon D850 45.7MP Full-Frame DSLR Body. You can often find like new returns that fit your budget perfectly. Tbh tho, if your season starts in July and you're in Oregon, buying local might save you the stress of shipping delays. Amazon's DSLR stock is getting pretty thin these days... probably better to jump on a deal now if you see one.

Just saw this thread. Be careful with those Amazon Renewed listings for weddings tho. They often dont disclose the shutter count which is super risky for professional work. I would suggest checking the used inventory at MPB or B&H instead of waiting for a sale that might not happen. You could probably snag a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV 30.4MP or a Canon EOS 90D 32.5MP with a real warranty there. Amazon is basically all mirrorless now.
