Im trying to track C6 rumors for Prime Day 2026 but keep seeing conflicting stuff about the panel tech and honestly its getting annoying. I need a solid upgrade for my small bedroom setup in NYC by July.

  • strictly under 1k
  • 48 inch max
  • mostly ps5 gaming

Is the C6 even gonna hit that price point or am I wasting time...

Saw this earlier but just now responding... I have been obsessing over the 2026 panel rumors too and honestly the tech is looking incredible! If the C6 gets the updated MLA tech in the smaller sizes, the HDR performance for PS5 gaming is gonna be absolutely amazing. For a NYC bedroom setup, you definitely want something that can handle glare if you have windows. Quick tips for your hunt:

  • Keep an eye on the RTINGS Best 48-inch TV table because they update it the second new benchmarks drop.
  • Use a price tracker like camelcamelcamel specifically for Amazon deals to see when the previous gen hits its floor. Since you need to stay under 1k, the LG C5 48-inch OLED evo is a much more realistic target for Prime Day. I actually use the LG C4 42-inch OLED evo in my office right now and the 144Hz support is a total game changer for high-frame-rate gaming. If you are dead set on the LG C6 48-inch OLED, you might have to wait until Black Friday to see it dip below that 1000 threshold. Even the Sony A90K 48-inch BRAVIA XR OLED is a fantastic alternative if you want that specific Sony processing for your PS5, though it is usually pricier. Definitely stick to your guns on the size tho, 48 is the absolute sweet spot!

Honestly, finding a C6 under a grand by July is probably a pipe dream. Unfortunately, I had issues with my last early-model purchase where the screen started flickering after just six months... definitely wasnt as good as expected. I learned that jumping on these brand new tech rumors is risky tho. My current setup only works now because I played it safe and waited for real data.
