I need a thumb grip for my Q3 before a Tokyo trip. I saw the official Leica one but $250 is wild, while people say the Haoge blocks the rear dial.
Is the Match Technical grip worth it or is there a better middle ground...
In my experience, the Match Technical Thumbs Up EP-SQ3 is definitely the way to go. I've tried many alternatives over the years and they always seem to block the rear dial or feel flimsy. This one is rock solid for one-handed street photography. It might be a tiny bit over your budget, but honestly, its the best middle ground between the cheap stuff and the crazy Leica price.
