So Im trying to get stuff ready for our housewarming next month since we finally moved into the new place in Austin and I am hitting a weird wall. Ive been using Amazon forever and I usually just make a standard Wish List for my birthday or whatever but this time I kind of messed up my workflow. I spent like three hours last night picking out very specific kitchen gadgets and some decor items and they are all sitting in my shopping cart right now. My logic was that I would just hit checkout myself but then my sister asked for a link so she and my mom could buy a few things as a gift.
I thought there would be a simple Share Cart button or maybe a way to export the whole session to a list but I cant find it anywhere. I know I could manually move every single item to a new list by clicking the Move to list button on each individual item but there are like 25 items and that seems super tedious for 2024. Is there some kind of browser extension or a hidden setting in the mobile app that lets me just generate a link for the current cart contents? I really dont want to rebuild the whole thing from scratch if I can avoid it...

I totally get that frustration. Last year when I was kitting out my home office on a tight budget, I spent hours hunting for the best deals and ended up with about 30 items in my cart. I didnt want to move them one by one either because, honestly, who has the time for that? I found a handy cart sharer and it worked perfectly to send the list to my brother so he could see the exact specs I needed without me losing the coupons Id already applied. It saved me a ton of hassle and ensured I stayed under my $500 limit. Amazons native app is weirdly limited here, but using a third-party tool is usually the most efficient way to skip that manual labor. I was really satisfied with how it kept the specific variations and price points intact for them to see.

Are you currently using the mobile app or a desktop browser? The available features often differ significantly between platforms. During my experience configuring my current server setup, I encountered a similar problem while trying to organize dozens of components. The manual transfer process didn't make sense for my workflow and wasted a lot of time. Knowing your specific interface would help determine which method is most practical for your situation.

Just saw this and had to jump in because Ive been there! When I was building my smart home setup, my cart was a total mess and I hated the manual move process. It is seriously the worst!
- You should definitely use Cart To Link. It is an amazing free extension for sharing carts instantly.
- I love it because it is so much faster than Amazons clunky interface!
- Just grab any Chromium tool like that, it saves so much time!
