I just got the DJI Air 3 and honestly I am so overwhelmed lol. I bought it because I am going on a trip to Iceland in three weeks and I really wanted to get those cool mountain shots but now that I have the box in front of me I realize I probably need more stuff? I dont even know what I dont know. Like do I need a special bag or is the one it comes with actually okay for hiking across rocky places? I was looking online and saw people talking about ND filters and extra chargers and landing pads and now my head is spinning.

I spent most of my savings on the drone itself so I only have like 200 or 300 bucks left for extra gear and I dont want to waste it on stuff I wont actually use. I am a complete beginner so sorry if this is a really dumb question but I just want to make sure I dont get halfway across the world and realize I forgot something super important that makes the drone hard to use or breaks it.

What are the absolute must-have things for traveling with this specific drone? Like if you could only pick three or four items to keep it safe and working while moving around a lot what would they be?...

I almost ruined my motors landing in sand once, so trust me, Icelands volcanic grit is no joke. In my experience, these are the best budget safety items:

Be careful with Icelands wind; it nearly ate my drone once. Check UAV Forecast before flying. Grab:

I tried using the stock shoulder bag on a trail and unfortunately it was just not as good as I expected. It kept sliding around and nearly fell off a ledge! I swapped it for a Smatree Waterproof Hard Case for DJI Air 3 and felt way safer. Also, my Iceland clips were totally washed out until I picked up the Freewell All Day 6-Pack ND Filters for DJI Air 3.

Totally agree about the bag. I learned the hard way on a mountain hike that things shift more than you expect. I didnt have my props secured and one got a hairline crack from a battery bumping it. The one I got now keeps the blades immobilized. Its just a small detail but it really helps keep things safe when youre scrambling over rocks.
