I recently got my hands on a Canon EOS M50 Mark II, and I'm loving it so far. Now, I'm looking to expand my lens collection and wondering what you all consider the best lens for this camera. I'm interested in versatility, but also open to specialized lenses for specific types of photography. What's your go-to lens for the M50 Mark II? Are there any hidden gems or must-have options I should consider? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially regarding image quality, autofocus performance, and overall value. Any recommendations for both native EF-M lenses and adapted EF/EF-S options are welcome. Thanks in advance for your insights!

Like someone mentioned, the native glass is definitely the easiest way to go, but I have been very satisfied with the Sigma primes lately. I'm a bit of a DIY type so I love using adapters to save cash and get better results. Heres how I see the top options right now:
- Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary for Canon EF-M: I prefer this over the Canon native primes. It is incredibly sharp and works well for almost everything.
- Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM: You need the Viltrox EF-EOS M Mount Adapter for this, but it is a total steal. I have no complaints about using adapted glass, the autofocus is still snappy.
- Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary for Canon EF-M: If you find the kit lens too dark for indoors, this is the one. It is a bit chunky tho. Basically, dont feel like you have to stay with Canon-only lenses. Mixing in some third-party glass has made me way more happy with my M50 II.

EF-M 18-150mm STM lens is the best choice, you can find some good deals on Amazon for used EF-M 18-150mm lens.

I've been shooting with the M50 II for over a year now. My top picks:
- EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM: Amazing portrait lens
- EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6: Perfect for landscapes/architecture
- EF-M 15-45mm kit lens: Actually decent for everyday use

The EF-M 22mm f/2 lens offers compactness, versatility, and affordability, excelling in this type of photography. Despite being part of a discontinued system, it remains an excellent choice if you're comfortable with that limitation.
