So I really need new running shoes because my old ones are literally falling apart at the seams and I heard the Nike Pegasus 40 is good for beginners like me but the prices are all over the place. I saw them for $130 then $90 then back up to $110 and I'm just so confused about when I should actually hit the buy button. I only have about 100 bucks to spend on this since I just moved to Chicago and everything is expensive here so I really cant afford to overpay.
I tried looking on the Nike website but it just shows the current price and I was thinking maybe there is a way to see a graph or something of what they used to cost? My logic was that if I could see if they go on sale every month then I could just wait a week. I searched on google for price tracker but it just gave me a bunch of weird ads and sites that looked kinda sketchy and I dont want to get a virus or anything. Sorry if this is a really basic thing to ask but I have no idea where to start with this kind of stuff.
Is there like a specific website that just tracks Nike shoe prices over time so I can see if $95 is actually a good deal or if I'm getting ripped off? I really need them before my local 5k run next month so I'm getting a bit nervous about the timing and whether I should just buy them now or keep waiting...
> my logic was that if I could see if they go on sale every month then I could just wait a week. Honestly, Nike price cycles usually follow new model launches more than a monthly schedule. Since the Pegasus 41 is out now, the 40s are basically just clearance inventory. In my experience, anything under 90 bucks is a solid win. I usually check RunRepeat to compare prices tho... it makes it way easier to spot a real deal versus marketing fluff so you dont overpay.
Ive used extensions before but you gotta be careful. I think CamelCamelCamel works if theyre on Amazon.
