Im finally building my dream rig with a $1500 budget and I need to buy everything by next Friday so I can build it over the weekend! Im super hyped but I wanna make sure Im getting the best deals on these parts. I saw people mention CamelCamelCamel but that seems like its just for Amazon and then I found some reddit threads mentioning extensions like PCPartPicker but its kinda confusing if they track Newegg specifically or if theres just a button on the site I'm missing. Is there a way to actually see the price history charts directly on Newegg or do I have to use a third party site for that?

TL;DR: Newegg doesn't have built-in charts, so you gotta use something like PCPartPicker or browser extensions like Honey to see the history. Man, I remember back in 2018 when I was building my last big workstation. I rushed into buying a bunch of parts on a Tuesday because I was impatient... ended up losing like two hundred bucks because prices tanked on Friday morning. Honestly, Newegg doesnt have anything native on their site for history anymore. You gotta be careful with their sales tho because sometimes they just jack up the original price right before a discount to make it look better than it actually is. Its a classic tactic. I usually just keep a tab open on PCPartPicker to track the specific Newegg trends over the last few months before I pull the trigger. If youre building a $1500 rig, I would suggest just sticking with any of the main boards from ASUS. You really cant go wrong with their stuff, its always been super reliable for my builds. Also, please watch out for third-party sellers on Newegg now. Ive had some sketchy experiences where the shipping took weeks longer than promised because it was coming from overseas. Make sure the item is actually sold and shipped by Newegg or you might be waiting way past next weekend for your parts to arrive. Better to be safe than sorry when you have a hard deadline like that.

Newegg doesnt offer native charts, so you have to use external tools. I have been really satisfied using this Newegg price tracker lately. It works well for monitoring price fluctuations and ensures you dont overspend on your $1500 build. No complaints here, the data is accurate and helps you snag components at their actual floor price.

Ive tried many tools over the years, but PriceBefore is a solid alternative for Newegg. It tracks the raw technical data without all the fluff of some other tracker sites...
