Anyone else planning ahead for Google Pixel 9 Cyber Monday deals in 2025?

I’m currently using a Pixel 6 that’s starting to feel a bit sluggish (battery isn’t great anymore and the camera is acting weird in low-light). I’ve been holding off upgrading because I’m really interested in the Pixel 9, but I don’t want to pay full launch price if I can avoid it.

For anyone who’s followed Pixel launches and Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals in previous years: what kind of discounts or bundles should I expect for the Pixel 9 on Cyber Monday 2025, and where do you think the best place will be to buy (Google Store vs big retailers vs carriers)?

  • I am actually a bit wary of going the online warehouse route for something this expensive. I know it sounds kinda paranoid, but I have seen too many stories of empty boxes or shipping damage lately.
  • physical stores allow for immediate hardware inspection
  • carrier locations usually have better warranty support in person
  • no risk of porch pirates or lost packages I ended up getting my current setup from a local shop after an online order I placed years ago vanished in transit. It took me nearly a month of arguing with customer service to get my money back. Since then, I find that going to a brick-and-mortar place is just a more reliable way to handle an upgrade. Its a decent option if you want to be 100% sure you are getting what you paid for the day you buy it. Sometimes the online deals arent worth the stress if the delivery goes sideways tho...

Just catching up on this thread. Honestly - from a reliability standpoint

  • I usually suggest going through the official Google Store if u can. Third-party retailers are okay for a quick save, but when it comes to battery health and long-term hardware support, going direct is usually safer for RMAs and stuff. I am a bit technical about this - maybe too much - but here are some resources to help u decide:
  • Use CamelCamelCamel or Keepa to track price history so u dont get tricked by fake markups.
  • Check the Google trade-in portal because they often give way more value for older tech than big retailers.
  • Look into the official hardware support docs to see how they handle warranty claims on newer units. Basically, just go with Google and u cant go wrong. I think sticking with the manufacturer directly is the best direction for hardware stability. Not 100% sure if the 2025 deals will be better than what we see now, but tracking the data is the way to go.
