so me and my girlfriend are moving into our new place this Saturday and its literally chaos right now. we keep adding the same stuff to our own separate carts like double dish soaps and stuff. i looked up amazon household but that just seems like its for sharing prime shipping and it doesnt actually let us see one shopping cart together? or maybe im just dumb and cant find the button. i really need:
is there actually a setting for this or do i have to use some weird 3rd party extension? we have like 48 hours to get this sorted...
Amazon doesn't have a native joint cart feature. I'd suggest using shared wish lists instead for better security. I saw a similar guide on Smartphone Board recently.
Honestly, Amazon really doesnt want people sharing a single cart because of how they handle one-click buys and payment info. Its super frustrating when you are moving but it is what it is. You might want to consider being very careful about just sharing a single login tho. I have seen people get their accounts locked for suspicious activity when two different phones in different spots try to mess with the cart or check out at the same time. Plus, you really dont want your private purchase history or gift surprises showing up in a shared list forever. I would suggest you just look for a browser tool or check out amazon cart share to find something that lets you sync things up without giving away your password. There are a few reputable ones out there that basically just copy the items over from one side to the other. Using something like that is way safer than the alternative. From a practical standpoint, moving is expensive enough as it is and you dont want to accidentally buy double of the heavy stuff like detergent or bulk cleaning supplies because you werent looking at the same screen. Just make sure you are both actually connected via the Household link for the shipping benefits or you are gonna get hit with double fees for no reason. Its a mess but stay organized or you will go broke before you even unpack. Better to be safe with your account security while you are dealing with all the other moving chaos.
Jumping in because I love a good moving hack! Are you guys using the same login or the Household link? I think I heard you can use Alexa lists that sync to your cart, but I am not 100 percent sure if that actually works for everyone.
