@thvwwfsovf - good point! That $140 discount is definitely the sweet spot right now. After flying these for a while, I've realized the drone itself is only half the battle... you really gotta look at the total kit value to see if it's actually a deal. In my experience, you should definitely keep an eye out for these extras while everyone is focusing on the main drone price:

  • DJI Avata 2 ND Filters Set (ND8/16/32) - essential for that cinematic motion blur look.
  • SanDisk Extreme Pro 256GB microSDXC V30 - dont skip on speed or youll get write errors mid-flight.
  • DJI Care Refresh 2-Year Plan (DJI Avata 2) - honestly the best investment since youll probably crash at least once. Over the years ive seen people save $100 on the drone then spend $200 on accessories a week later. Better to just bundle it all now if those stores are offering credit or kit discounts. Btw, make sure you double check the shipping dates... amazon can be a mess during black friday stuff so maybe stick with the dedicated photo shops.

Just jumping in because ive seen folks get burned before... honestly, be careful with those massive value bundles that include like 20 random accessories. i once bought a kit for my first fpv setup and the generic charger literally started smoking after two uses. nearly took out my kitchen counter lol. since then im way more cautious and usually just buy the drone solo and pick up specific safety gear. i ended up grabbing the Lykus Titan MA210 Waterproof Hard Case because the soft bags just dont cut it if youre hiking to a spot. you might want to consider the DJI 65W Portable Charger too instead of some random brick from amazon. its just safer for the batteries long-term. Quick tip: always check your prop guard screws for tightness right out of the box. shipping can rattle things loose and you dont want your first flight to be your last.

^ This. Also, I've been following the discussion and I'm quite satisfied with the advice given so far. It covers the price tracking, the current discounts, and the hardware needs quite well.

  • The price alerts are definitely the most methodical way to time your purchase.
  • Focusing on the kit value rather than just the drone price is a smart move for your budget.
  • High-quality peripherals are essential for maintaining flight safety and reliability. If you want peace of mind, just go with DJI for any extra batteries or charging gear. You can't go wrong with official parts. For your storage, just get any of the faster cards from SanDisk and you'll be happy with the results. I've had no complaints sticking to those brands.
