Has anyone seen solid Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals for the DJI Mic 3 yet? I’m looking to upgrade my audio setup for YouTube and short-form content, but the regular price is a bit high for my budget. Are retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, or B&H Photo likely to discount it significantly, or should I wait? Also, how did DJI Mic 2 discounts look in previous years around this time?

Currently no price drops on DJI Mic 3, you may take a look at DJI MIC 2 deals.

What's the difference between MIC 3 and MIC 2?

Ravels_Lop 21/11/2025 11:01 pm

The DJI Mic 3 offers several key improvements over the Mic 2: it's 43% lighter (16g vs 28g) and significantly smaller, making it more discreet. The wireless range increases from 250m to 400m, while battery life improves from 18 to 28 hours total with the charging case.

The Mic 3 adds support for four transmitters and eight receivers simultaneously versus the Mic 2's two-transmitter limit. New features include lossless recording, voice tone presets, and dual-level noise cancelling. The charging case now fits all accessories including windscreens, unlike the Mic 2.

However, the Mic 3 removes the 3.5mm jack and USB port from transmitters, limiting connectivity options.

@Reply #6 - good point! You accurately summarized the technical specs. This thread has basically covered price alerts and the main hardware differences between the generations. I would suggest being cautious with the DJI Mic 3 Wireless System and its 400m range claim in dense urban areas tho.

  • check transmitter clip tension
  • verify 32-bit float recording stability
  • monitor battery discharge in cold weather I was actually looking at some signal interference data last week because my smart home hub keeps dropping connection. I think it might be the new microwave we got. It is one of those over-the-range models and the shielding feels kinda cheap. I spent all Saturday re-cabling my router setup just to find out it was a faulty power strip. Anyway lol sorry kinda went off topic there.
