Ive been a GH5 shooter forever but I finally moved up to the S5II for a series of outdoor weddings Im doing in Seattle this fall. The IBIS is killer but my old batteries and cages obviously dont fit this body. I have about 450 bucks left for extras.
What are the must-have accessories for Lumix S series cameras?
Re: "Jumping in here... since you're doing Seattle weddings,..." - honestly gotta disagree on the budget chargers. For professional wedding work, I wouldnt risk my gear with cheap electronics. I suggest getting the Panasonic DMW-BTC15 Battery Charger instead. Its way safer for the cells. Also, grab a SmallRig 2093C Universal Wooden Side Handle with Cold Shoe because the S5II gets heavy after eight hours. Kinda essential tbh.
Jumping in here... since you're doing Seattle weddings, you gotta prep for that gray light. Instead of the pricey Panasonic charger, the Neewer DMW-BLK22 Dual USB-C Charger is a great way to save some bucks. I use it for charging via USB-C in the car. Also, a K&F Concept 67mm Nano-X Variable ND Filter is kinda essential for keeping your shutter speed down during outdoor ceremonies. Both are solid budget picks tbh.
I'm really satisfied with these parts for keeping everything safe and running well.
