I finally treated myself to a Leica Q3, and I’m absolutely in love with the experience so far! However, I’m a bit paranoid about scratching that beautiful finish and want to find the perfect protection. I’m specifically looking for a high-quality leather half-case that doesn’t obstruct the new tilt screen or battery access. For straps, I want something minimalist yet comfortable for long days of street photography. I’ve looked at Oberwerth and Artisan & Artist, but I’m curious if there are other boutique brands I should consider. What specific strap and case combo are you guys using to keep your Q3 safe and stylish?

Protecting that finish is vital, but many cases block the Q3's unique tilt-screen articulation. For technical perfection and safety, I suggest: * Arte di Mano Half Case for Leica Q3
* Clever Supply Co. Skinny Anchor Strap The Arte di Mano fits like a glove without obstructing ports, while the strap anchors are SO secure for street work. Honestly, dont risk a cheaper setup on a $6k body.

Respectfully, I'd consider another option before dropping half a grand on a case alone. I get the paranoia—I literally felt the same way when I unboxed mine—but honestly, you can find that boutique quality without the "Leica tax" being so heavy. While the high-end stuff is nice, I've found that some mid-tier artisan brands actually offer better practical value for daily street shooting. Here is my go-to setup:
* Kaza Deluxe Leather Half Case for Leica Q3: It is gorgeous, hand-made, and covers the bottom perfectly while leaving the tilt-screen totally free. Plus, it has a battery trapdoor so you never have to take it off.
* Vi Vante Matador Camera Strap: This is a beast for street photography. It is thin and minimalist, but the braided leather is weirdly comfortable and doesn't dig into your neck at all. Basically, it is all about finding that balance between protection and not making the camera too chunky to actually use. Good luck, the Q3 is such a dream to shoot with!!

yo, congrats on the Q3! ngl I was also super paranoid about scratches when I got mine. Since youre looking for something budget-friendly that actually works, here's what I recommend based on my own experience: * TP Original Leather Half Case for Leica Q3: I found this for around $55. Its basically half the price of boutique brands but it has the flap for battery access and doesnt block the tilt screen at all.
* VKO Camera Neck Strap Soft Cotton Rope: Honestly, this is like $15. Its super minimalist and comfy for long days of street shooting. I would suggest being careful with the fit though... make sure to check the bottom screw mount is always tight so it doesnt wiggle. It might not feel as "luxury" as Oberwerth, but the value is HUGE. basically keeps the finish safe without spending another $300. Anyway, so yeah... hope that helps and gl! 👍

Seconding the recommendation above. Honestly, my current setup basically saved me after a drop. I mean, leather density and lug security are critical for safety without blocking the tilt-screen's motion.
