Which thumb grip is best for Leica M series cameras?

So I finally pulled the trigger on a used M10 last week and I'm loving the rangefinder life but man this thing is a bar of soap. I'm taking it on a trip to Tokyo next month so I need to get it sorted soon. I've been looking at the official Leica thumb support which is like $200 which feels insane and the Match Technical Thumbs Up but I'm seeing mixed reviews. Some folks say the official one has the best finish match but others swear the Match Technical grip is more comfortable for long days. Then there's those cheap Haoge ones on Amazon that are like twenty bucks but I'm worried they might mess up the hot shoe tension. Which one actually feels the most secure without being a total rip off?

Honestly, I've been super satisfied with some of the non-Leica alternatives that don't cost a car payment. Quick question tho, are you planning on using a leather half case for the trip? It changes how much depth your hand needs to reach the grip, so it matters for comfort. A few budget thoughts for your Tokyo prep:JJC TA-M10 Thumbs Up Grip for Leica M10 is basically identical in function to the boutique ones and stays very tight in the shoe without wiggling.Check used listings on Fred Miranda or eBay. People sell the Match Technical Thumbs Up EP-MX for way less than retail and they're built like tanks.Sometimes a used Leica M10 Hand Grip 24018 is actually more secure for long days of street shooting than a thumb rest alone. Ngl, spending $200 on a tiny piece of brass feels weird when that money could go towards sushi or lenses instead. I've had zero issues with my mid-range setup and it feels plenty secure.

Get the Match Technical Thumbs Up EP-MX for Leica M10! It's absolutely amazing and way more comfortable than the official grip for long street sessions, totally worth it!
