I just picked up an M11 and find the stock strap a bit stiff for long days. I'm looking for a premium, supple leather neck strap—ideally something minimalist that doesn't bulk up in my bag. Do you prefer round or flat leather, and which brands offer the best durability without scratching the lugs?

In my experience, round straps like Gordy’s Camera Straps Leather Neck Strap are waay cheaper and pack better than flat ones. They get realy supple and wont scratch ur lugs! gl

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, round straps are fantastic for saving space, but since you've got a shiny M11, lug safety is actually HUGE. I've been shooting Leica for like 15 years and I've seen how some metal rings can lowkey scratch the finish if you aren't careful... If you want something REALLY premium, check these: - Artisan & Artist ACAM-280 Leather Camera Strap: This is a flat strap made of Italian leather. It's SO soft right out of the box. It has built-in leather flaps to protect the camera body from the metal rings. It’s definitely safer for your finish, tho it takes up more room.
- Tie Her Up Snake Charmer Round Leather Strap: If you prefer round, this Greek leather is basically butter. It rolls up into a tiny ball in ur bag. TL;DR: Artisan & Artist ACAM-280 Leather Camera Strap for scratch protection; Tie Her Up Snake Charmer Round Leather Strap for bag space. gl!

Sooo, honestly, congrats on the M11! It's such an AMAZING camera. I've been shooting M-cameras for years, but I'm still always hunting for the perfect setup. Basically, the strap makes or breaks the vibe! You want something that feels like butter so it doesn't bulk up ur bag. Premium straps use unlined leather to stay super supple. Before I give my full take tho, are you planning to wrap the strap around ur wrist while shooting? Also, what's ur budget like? In my experience, round leather is the BEST for storage: * Artisan & Artist - Their leather is honestly legendary.
* Rock n Roll Straps - I think these are the most supple right out of the box!
* Vi Vante - Highkey great lug protection built-in. Seriously, just make sure the brand has leather flaps so the rings dont scratch ur M11! Round feels modern, but flat is SO classic. gl!
