I’m finding my Leica Q2 a bit slippery for one-handed shooting and need better stability. I've been looking at the official Leica grip versus the Match Technical Thumbs Up or a cheaper Haoge version. Does the added grip interfere with the rear dial or buttons? Which option provides the most secure feel without adding too much bulk?

In my experience, adding a grip is basically mandatory to protect your investment cuz the body is reallyyy slick. I've tried many, and for your situation, I would suggest the Match Technical Thumbs Up EP-SQ2 for Leica Q2.
- Solid brass build
- No dial interference
- Perfect ergonomic fit Honestly, avoid the cheap ones cuz they can actually damage the hot shoe over time... stick to the high-end stuff. peace

Quick question - are you mostly shooting street or do you need it for long days? Honestly, comparing the Haoge THB-Q2B Thumb Grip for Leica Q2 vs the pricey brass ones, you save cash but the edges are sharper. Make sure to check the fit cuz some cheap ones can scratch the hot shoe, but the Haoge is usually a solid bet for value! gl

Here's what I recommend: I literally love the Leica Thumb Support M10/Q2 19543 cuz it fits perfectly!! Honestly be super careful not to scratch youre camera finish during install tho... gl!

A thumb grip creates a mechanical lever that shifts the tension towards ur palm. This is huge because the Leica Q2 Digital Camera has that iconic smooth finish that can be a total nightmare if ur hands get even a little sweaty. Honestly, the biggest safety risk isnt just dropping the camera - it is actually damaging the hot shoe mount if the grip fits too loosely and wiggles around. I'm still learning the ropes with my gear, but I've noticed how much the fitment matters. For your situation, I would suggest looking at the LIM'S Design Aluminum Thumb Grip for Leica Q2.
