I’ve recently switched to a compact Micro Four Thirds setup for my street photography because I love how low-profile and light it is. However, I’m still figuring out the best way to rig it for long days on foot. I'm currently torn between getting a discreet wrist strap or a slim sling, and I’m definitely noticing that I need a better way to manage extra batteries since they drain pretty fast. Are there specific thumb grips or maybe a particular type of lens hood you find essential for staying fast and inconspicuous? I really want to keep my kit minimal but functional. For those of you shooting M4/3 on the street, what are your must-have accessories?

In my experience, safety is key so I always use the Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap—dont wanna drop your rig! For power, seriously stick to Panasonic DMW-BLG10 Li-ion Battery Pack cuz cheap knockoffs are risky. I also swear by the Lensmate Thumb Grip for extra stability when things get fast. Basically, keep it simple but reliable... anyway, hope that helps!

Curious about one thing: what specific M4/3 body are you rocking right now? Knowing the camera helps cuz some bodies like the Lumix GX series vs the OM-D lines have totally different ergos. Street photography is all about speed and staying low-key, but honestly, you dont need to spend a ton to get a functional rig. I've been doing this for years and lowkey found that budget gear often holds up just as well as the premium stuff. - Batteries: Instead of OEM, I use the Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Dual USB Charger for DMW-BLG10. Usually around $25, which is a steal.
- Straps: A simple paracord wrist strap for $12 works basically as well as any brand-name cuff.
- Hoods: A Vented Metal Lens Hood 46mm (usually under $10) looks retro and keeps things inconspicuous. But yeah, lmk the model so I can be more specific! gl!
