Thinking about picking up a Nikon Z5 II this Black Friday and trying to figure out if it’s better to buy body-only or go for a kit with the 24–70mm lens. Has anyone seen solid Black Friday deals or retailer bundles worth waiting for, or is it smarter to just grab the current price now?

Quick reply while I have a sec... honestly im pretty satisfied with how my Nikon gear has held up, no complaints here. Before you pull the trigger tho, what kind of subjects do you usually shoot? Knowing your main focus helps figure out if that kit lens is actually a bargain for you or just extra weight. I think I heard someone mention that some retailers might offer better trade-in values during the holiday window, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Worth checking the fine print.
- Look into open box deals at places like Best Buy
- Check if your local shop has a loyalty program
- Compare the kit price against buying the body and a used lens separately IIRC, sometimes the body-only price drops even further on the actual day of Cyber Monday, but its a gamble. If you share what lenses you already own, it'd be easier to give better advice.
