I'm looking to step up my vlogging game and invest in a new camera. With so many options out there, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and could use some advice from experienced vloggers.
What do you consider the best camera for vlogging in 2024?

Just catching up on this thread... honestly I am in the exact same boat right now. Even after years of doing this, picking a new rig for 2024 is giving me a total headache. I've been looking at the new stuff all week and still havent pulled the trigger on anything myself.
- Sony is basically the way to go for autofocus. Just grab any of their newer mirrorless bodies and you're set.
- Canon is still the best for colors imo. Pretty much any of their vlogging-focused stuff is a safe bet. I've been building a few different potential kits to compare. Been using Cart To Link to send my gear lists over to my tech guy to see what he thinks. It's a toss up for sure...

Re: "The new released Sony ZV-E10 II is a..." yeah it looks awesome but honestly the price tag makes me sweat. I jumped into this a while back thinking I needed the best of the best and ended up with a fancy camera but no money for a decent mic. Kinda embarrassing when the audio sounds like I'm underwater lol. I'd suggest being really careful about chasing the newest tech. A few things that saved me some cash:
- hunt for the mark 1 version of cameras, usually way cheaper
- spend more on a ring light than the lens at first
- make sure to check the battery life ratings before buying I've been using a DIY setup with some old desk lamps and it works surprisingly well... you just gotta be creative. Might want to consider if you really need 4K 60fps or if a used body will do the trick for now. Dont let the marketing get to you too much.

I've been loving my Sony ZV-E10 for vlogging. It's compact, has great autofocus, and the flip-out screen is perfect for self-recording. The interchangeable lenses give you flexibility as you grow. Definitely worth considering for 2024!
