So I have been staring at these two different setups for my home office for like three hours now and I am losing my mind. I'm in Chicago and I've got this $600 budget for some new gear because I'm starting a remote contract on Monday and I need everything here by Friday at the latest. I'm basically torn between two directions and I need to show my partner so we can decide together before the sales end tonight.

Option one is focusing on comfort since I'll be sitting all day

  • I found this specific ergonomic mesh chair that's on sale for $340, plus a high-end ring light and some cable management stuff to keep the desk clean. Option two is more about the output quality, so it’s a standing desk converter and a really nice condenser mic with some acoustic foam panels. I’m leaning toward the chair setup because my back is already killing me just thinking about working 40 hours in this dining chair but the mic in the second option is way better for the video calls I'll be doing.

The problem is that I am getting so frustrated trying to show him what's actually in my cart. I tried just copying the URL from my browser but when he clicks it on his laptop it just opens his own empty cart or asks him to log in. It’s so annoying. I’ve got like 7 items in there for the first setup and sending him 7 individual links is just gonna result in him missing something or getting the wrong version of the item.

Does Amazon even have a way to just generate a single link that shows someone else exactly what I've got sitting in my cart right now? I feel like this should be a basic feature but I cant find a share button anywhere. Or am I stuck just taking a bunch of screenshots and texting them over like its 2005?...

Amazon doesnt support direct cart sharing because of session cookie persistence. Move everything to a public Wish List or use amazon cart share to generate a single shareable URL instead.

Hey! Late to the party here but I totally feel your pain with the cart sharing struggle! It is honestly so annoying when you are trying to stay under a strict budget and need a second opinion fast. Regarding what #1 said about Amazon doesnt support direct cart sharing because of session cookie persistence, they are totally right, which is such a bummer for us budget hunters. I went through the exact same drama when I started my remote gig last year with a tight $500 cap. I was obsessing over every cent! I ended up choosing the ergonomic chair over the fancy audio gear and let me tell you... best decision ever!! My back is so much happier and I just used a basic headset until I could afford a better mic later. You really gotta prioritize the stuff that keeps you from needing a chiropractor lol. My journey was all about finding those hidden savings so I could afford the better chair. Here is how I managed to keep my costs down:

  • I checked the Warehouse for Used
  • Like New deals on the chair and saved nearly $90!
  • I always look for those little clip-on coupons on the product pages... they add up fast!
  • I skipped the foam panels and just used a thick rug and some curtains to dampen the sound for free. Seriously, if you are still trying to figure out how can I share amazon cart without taking twenty screenshots like it is 2005, definitely look into those tools. It makes the whole process way less stressful and you wont miss any deals. Good luck with the new contract! Working from home is gonna be fantastic!
