Can I share my Amazon shopping cart to someone?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering, is there a way to share my Amazon shopping cart with someone else? Basically, my grandma wants me to help her buy a few things online, but she's not super comfortable using the computer herself. I've already added everything to my cart on my account, making sure I've got the right sizes and colors for her.

It would be so much easier if I could just share the cart with her, so she can review the items herself before I actually place the order. That way, she can confirm everything is correct and I don't end up getting the wrong thing. I've tried copying and pasting the item names, but that's really tedious and she's worried about accidentally ordering the wrong thing. Also, she wants to see the total cost with shipping before committing.

Is there a specific feature on Amazon that I'm missing, or a workaround that would allow me to do this easily? Has anyone else had a similar situation? What's the best way to share the contents of my Amazon cart with someone else for review before purchase without them needing access to my account?

^ This. Also, I actually disagree that screenshots are the best way because they get outdated the second a price fluctuates or something goes out of stock. It depends on your needs, but honestly, it reminds me of this massive DIY project I took on when my cousin wanted to build a custom home studio. I spent like three whole days building this elaborate spreadsheet with every single cable, mount, and interface he needed because I wanted to be super thorough. I even included alternatives for every item. We sat down at his kitchen table for five hours just scrolling through my list and comparing it to what some guy on YouTube said. By the time we were done, half the stuff I picked had changed prices and he got so overwhelmed he just bought a pre-made kit that was way worse quality. It turned into this huge ordeal where we spent more time debating the gear than actually setting it up... just a total mess.

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from. Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't have a direct 'share cart' feature. I've had issues with simply copying links – grandma ordered the wrong thing *twice*! What I do now is take screenshots of the cart, including the item details AND the total with shipping. Then I send those screenshots to her. It's not perfect, but it's visual and she can see everything clearly before giving me the go-ahead. Hope this helps!

Hey there! Yeah, a direct share cart option would be awesome, right? Since Amazon doesn't offer that, consider using screenshots. Seriously. Add everything to your cart, then take clear screenshots of each page (item details, cart summary with the total). Send those to your grandma. It's not ideal, but it avoids account sharing and lets her review everything visually before you order. Plus, she can see the final price with shipping! I know it's a workaround, but it works, and it's safer than giving out any login info. Hope this helps!

Hey! Yeah, I totally get the grandma-shopping struggle. Screenshots are good, but I think there's another angle: Wish Lists! Hear me out...

Instead of a cart, create a Wish List. Add *everything* your grandma wants to that list. The pro? She can see it, review it, and even *add* stuff herself if she figures it out. The con? It doesn't show shipping costs upfront. To get around that, I would suggest adding *her* address to *your* account temporarily (just for calculating shipping!), then go to the checkout page (without actually buying), and note the total cost with shipping for *one* item at a time. That's tedious, I know, but it gives you the real final price, so your grandma can make an informed decision about whether the cost of shipping is worth it for each item. Then, tell her the final price. Once she approves, you can remove her address from your account.

It's a bit of work, but honestly, for getting it right *and* keeping the budget in check, it might be worth it. Hope this helps!

Hey there! I understand wanting to help your grandma shop online safely. While screenshots and wishlists are decent options, I think there's a crucial aspect to consider: security. Giving ANYONE access, even indirectly, to your Amazon account info (even if it's just screenshots of your cart that *could* reveal more than you think) can open you up to potential risks, honestly.

Here's the thing: Amazon accounts are linked to payment methods. Even if you trust your grandma completely, accidents happen. What if her computer gets compromised later? It's always best to err on the side of caution.

Instead of sharing your cart directly, how about screen sharing with her while you're both on a video call? You can walk her through the items in your cart, confirm details, and show her the total cost, all while keeping your account completely secure. Several video call apps like Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet have screen-sharing features.

Just a thought – safety first! Hope this helps!
