Gotta finish this $2k supply order for our new Seattle office by tomorrow and my boss needs to see the cart but I saw Share-A-Cart and people say it's glitchy with business logins.

My logic was an extension is safer than sharing my password but do these actually sync live or just break?

I went through this whole nightmare kitting out our remote office last year! It was amazing once I realized simple exporters beat live sync tools every time. Those live ones always choke on business security tho, while basic JSON exports just work! Its a total lifesaver. Just grab any extension from the Chrome Web Store, you cant go wrong. TL;DR: Use basic export extensions for business accounts. Check out Smartphone Board, they have a whole thread about exactly how to do this easily.

I dealt with this exact headache during a massive hardware refresh for a dev team last summer. The issue with Share-A-Cart on business accounts is how they handle session tokens and multi-factor auth. Technically, these tools dont sync live; they just scrape your current DOM and generate a unique ID based on the product ASINs. Here is what I found works best for big orders:

  • Use manual code generation instead of the direct email feature
  • Make sure the receiver is logged into the same regional domain
  • Clear your cache before generating the link if you have multiple business profiles Its basically just a data transfer of item IDs. I usually just send the generated code via Slack because the automated email system in those extensions is what usually triggers the login glitches. It wont break your cart, but the receiver might have to hit refresh twice to see the items populate. These tools are definitely safer than sharing a password tho.
