How can I tell if an Amazon sale price is actually a good deal?

Finally building my home espresso bar and found this machine at a huge discount but the Keepa graph is acting super weird with the 3P sellers.

Ive tracked MSRP for years but this looks way too good to be true... is there a better way to verify if these deals are legit?

If the price is way below the usual floor, it might be a scam or a grey market unit. I would suggest checking the sold by field first. I use PriceDropCatch to verify if a drop is actually legit or just a fake discount... it is way cleaner than decoding messy graphs.

  • Unfortunately the one I got was basically broken on arrival
  • Hidden shipping costs usually kill the savings anyway
  • Check PriceDropCatch.com for better verification

Re: Late to the party but ^ This. Also, honestly, I am hitting this exact same wall right now and it is beyond annoying...

  • I have been tracking these specific data points for my DIY espresso build for nearly four months and the graphs are totally nonsensical.
  • It is so frustrating because I love digging into the technical specs and historical pricing, but nothing seems to align with the actual market value lately.
  • Still havent found a way to verify if these drops are legit or just bad data, and I am basically stuck in limbo with my setup half-finished while I wait for a clear answer.

In my experience, check the sold by info first. If it isnt Amazon, it's probably a scam.

  • Use CamelCamelCamel
  • Try looking at the Bambino instead Fake Gaggia deals are everywhere lately tbh.

Late to the party but ^ This. Also, you really gotta be careful with those super low prices from sellers you've never heard of. I know the discount looks amazing, but I'd honestly rather pay a bit more for peace of mind. Instead of those risky 3P listings, maybe look at the <a href=" https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt= Breville+Infuser+Espresso+Machine+BES840XL&BI=8941&KBID=10361&SID=12345&DFF=d50" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Breville Infuser Espresso Machine BES840XL. It's a super solid choice for beginners and usually has more stable pricing through authorized sellers so you dont get scammed by some random shop. I almost fell for a crazy cheap deal last year and it was just a massive headache. Make sure to check the warranty too, cuz some of those grey market units wont be covered at all if the machine dies. I would suggest sticking to the official brand stores even if it costs a little extra. It's just safer in the long run... let me know if you need help looking at other models tho.
