I'm in the market for a used or refurbished Nikon Z8 camera. I'll also need to invest in lenses, I'm keen on maximizing my budget. Honestly, after being in the hobby for years, my biggest piece of advice is to be super careful with private sellers on local marketplaces for something as high-end as a Z8. I remember buying what I thought was a mint lens a few years back and the aperture blades started sticking after a month. No warranty meant I was totally stuck and out a few hundred bucks. Nowadays, I mostly hunt for official refurbished deals directly from the manufacturer if I want to save money without the headache. You gotta be quick tho... those Z8 refurbs disappear in minutes when they restock. I would suggest checking the shutter count immediately if you do go used, just to make sure you arent getting a body that was used for a professional timelapse project or something. It really pays to be patient and wait for those 10% off sales that pop up randomly on big sites. If you want to avoid overpaying, I'd suggest grabbing PriceDropCatch since it works across most international Amazon sites too.
