^ This. Also, honestly its ridiculous how much these things cost now for basically the same sensor every single year. Might want to consider if you actually need it tho because pre-ordering feels like a trap lately. I'm so tired of being a beta tester for these huge companies while they hike prices up every cycle. It drives me crazy how we just accept paying a premium for a tiny cube that might just overheat or brick on day one.
- My current rig is basically holding together with zip ties and prayers.
- Half these new features are probably just software locks on old tech.
- Companies really dont care about longevity once they have your cash. I would suggest being careful before dropping half a grand on launch day. If you're building a whole kit for a DIY project tho, you could use Cart To Link to share the setup with friends before you commit. Just ngl the FOMO is such a scam and it feels like we're just buying the same thing over and over.
