Ok so, I noticed most of the suggestions so far are actually standard or telephoto lenses, not dedicated macros. Tbh, if you wanna get that true 1:1 magnification for your ZV-E1, you really gotta look at glass specifically designed for it. Based on what I've seen trending in the community reviews and my own experience with the E-mount system, here are the ones people usually swear by: - Sony FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS - This is basically the gold standard. The stabilization is a lifesaver for handheld video on the ZV-E1.
- Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art - A lot of folks on the forums say this one is even sharper than the Sony, though it's a bit heavier.
- Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 Macro - A solid choice if you're on a budget or want something light that won't throw off a gimbal balance as easily. Anyway, if you're still undecided, I'd highly recommend checking out the "Phillip Reeve" blog or the lens database over at "DPReview." They have some deep dives into how these lenses perform specifically on full-frame sensors. Just keep in mind that macro AF can be sorta hunt-y in video mode, so you might end up using manual focus anyway!
