What are the must-have accessories for the Sony a7R IV because I literally just bought this piece of equipment and I think I might be in way over my head. My brother told me this was the best camera for high resolution photos so I saved up for like a year to get it but now that it's here I realized the box is basically empty and it doesn't even come with a memory card? I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question but do I need a special kind of card or will any old one from the store work because I heard the files are huge and I don't want to break the camera or anything.
I have about 400 bucks left in my budget for everything else and I'm going on a trip to the Smokies in three weeks so I'm kind of panicking. Do I need extra batteries because the one it came with looks kind of small and I dont want it to die in the middle of a hike or something. Also do I need a screen protector like on a phone? I'm so scared of scratching it because it was so expensive. What about a bag or a strap? The one in the box is kind of itchy and uncomfortable. If anyone can just tell me what the absolute basics are so I don't look like an idiot when I'm out there trying to take pictures of the mountains... Is there anything else I'm missing like a cleaning kit or something?
> do I need a special kind of card The Sony PCK-LG1 Screen Protector works well so you don't scratch it and a Sony TOUGH-M series SDXC UHS-II 128GB is a decent option for those massive files.
I'm late to the thread but you'll be fine. I'm super satisfied with my setup now. I learned the hard way that mountains mean dust, and 61MP shows every tiny speck.
Ngl, those 61MP files are monsters. I was so satisfied once I got faster cards because the buffer lag is real. Since you're hitting the Smokies, grab these:
