Ok so, just a heads up from an experienced user—the Sony ZV-1 is actually a fixed-lens camera, so you cant technicaly swap the glass out like the Alpha series. Honestly, for travel, the built-in 24-70mm is realy your best bet for reliability. I mean, you dont want to be messing with bulky setups anyway. If you feel like you need more width for vlogging, most of the community suggests getting the Ulanzi WL-1 Wide Angle Lens attachment. It's a much safer way to get a wider FOV without straining the zoom motor. Keep it simple, it's way more reliable that way.

Yep, this is the way

^ This. Also, honestly it drives me crazy how gear talk always turn into a spending contest! Seeing people suggest two-thousand dollar lenses for a camera that literally doesnt even have a lens mount is just ridiculous and it makes the whole hobby feel so gatekeepy. Its such a scam how companies and forums push us to buy more and more stuff we dont need.

  • how prices are skyrocketing while build quality feels cheaper than ever
  • the constant pressure to add bulky gear to a tiny travel setup
  • how confusing manufacturers make everything just to upsell us on extras I love my ZV-1 but man, the whole gear-buying process is just a massive headache lately! It feels like nobody cares about the actual user experience anymore, just how much they can get us to spend on things that dont even fit. It is seriously frustrating!
