I picked up Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM for my Sony FX6 recently. In my experience, it works seamlessly. another thing suits Sony FX6 well. Great purchase overall.

Ended up choosing Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM for my Sony FX6. I've found that, it has compact size, also works seamlessly with Sony FX6. Worth every penny in my opinion.

Honestly, while those primes are gorgeous, I gotta disagree with them being the first choice for a workhorse like the FX6. Unless youre shooting narrative stuff with a dedicated focus puller, sticking strictly to fast primes kinda negates the versatility of the camera. Most of the pro community actually leans toward high-quality zooms because the FX6 internal ND system is so good that you dont really need that f/1.2 or f/1.4 aperture just to control light. If you want the industry standards that most shooters recommend for this body, you should look at:

• Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS
• Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS
• Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art The 28-135mm is basically parfocal which is a huge deal for video, and the 24-105mm is widely considered the best bang-for-your-buck run-and-gun lens in the Sony ecosystem. Using a GM prime is nice for the look, but for actual day-to-day production, a solid zoom with breathing compensation support is gonna serve you way better tbh.
