I've been staring at the price of the Alienware AW3423DWF for like three months now and it's driving me crazy because the price jumps like $200 every other week. I'm trying to stay under $900 for my new sim racing setup but every time I think I found a deal it's gone by the time I get my wallet out.
I tried setting up CamelCamelCamel since everyone says it's the gold standard but it only seems to care about Amazon and half the time the deal it flags is actually just a used warehouse deal which I don't want. Then I tried Keepa but the interface is a total nightmare and I can't figure out how to filter for just the new condition or set it to alert me on my phone instantly. I keep seeing people on Reddit saying they got these insane open-box or flash sales at Best Buy or Dell directly but these extensions don't seem to track those sites well at all.
Is there a better way to do this or am I just using these things wrong? Do I need to be running like five different extensions at once just to catch a single sale on an ultrawide before it sells out...
I was totally obsessed with those QD-OLED specs! Last year I tracked them for weeks for my sim rig but didnt wanna go broke. I actually scored an open-box deal and saved $350!! It was such an amazing rush seeing the price finally hit my target. Watching those data curves drop is half the fun. I found PriceDropCatch a while back and now I never buy anything on Newegg without checking the history chart first.
Can confirm this works. Did the same thing on mine and its been solid ever since.
Man, I feel your pain with that Alienware. In my experience, relying solely on Amazon-centric tools like CamelCamelCamel is a huge mistake when you're hunting for high-end ultrawides. Over the years, I've realized that the best deals for monitors usually happen directly on Dell's site or Best Buy, and those Amazon extensions just dont cut it for tracking them. I've tried many different setups, and honestly, the biggest trap is getting alerted for those used warehouse deals you mentioned... it's a total waste of time. You gotta be careful because some extensions default to any condition and you end up missing the actual new stock sales. Instead of running five extensions, just set up a custom keyword alert on Slickdeals for that specific model. It covers way more ground than Camel ever will. Just dont get tunnel vision on Amazon or you're gonna keep missing out on those $800 Best Buy drops.
