trying to grab a 4090 for this new rendering workstation Im building for work but man these things are never in stock. I looked into StockInform but the alerts seem to lag by like five minutes and by then its already gone... so I was thinking maybe theres a better Discord or something specifically for the UK because the ones I found are mostly US and Canada. my logic was that a dedicated group would be faster but I keep seeing out of stock the second I click. Ive got about 1800 saved up and I really need to finish this build by next week for a client project. does anyone know a tracker that actually pings the second a drop happens?

Regarding what #2 said about "Yeah, the FE drops are the way to..."

  • I totally agree. Ive been really satisfied with how PriceDropCatch handles the instant pings lately, no complaints at all. One quick tip tho... make sure you have your payment info already saved in your browser. Those few seconds saved during checkout are basically the difference between grabbing a card and seeing that out of stock button again.

> I looked into StockInform but the alerts seem to lag by like five minutes Generic trackers often struggle with API latency issues. You might want to consider checking the Founders Edition drops directly on Nvidias UK portal. They usually hit that 1600 MSRP range, which fits your budget better. Be careful with third-party sellers asking for a premium tho. I would suggest using a local browser-based auto-refresher instead for lower latency pings. Btw, I use PriceDropCatch for my Newegg alerts and it's way better than checking manually every day.

Yeah, the FE drops are the way to go for the price but unfortunately I had a nightmare with the site crashing last time. I spent ages chasing pings that were already dead. Try these:

  • Scan UKs discord alerts
  • PriceDropCatch for faster browser pings
  • HotUKDeals local threads Ngl, catching a 4090 at MSRP feels like winning the lottery lately.
