Just saw this thread and wanted to jump in... honestly, before you pull the trigger on any of these deals, what are you actually planning to do with the watch? Are you doing like, serious mountain stuff or just looking for a solid daily driver? I ask because I went the DIY route last year trying to beef up my current setup with some aftermarket seals and heavy-duty cases I found online. I thought I was being smart and saving a ton of cash, but unfortunately, it was a total disaster. The first time I took it out in the rain, moisture got trapped under the glass and basically ruined the sensors. It was not as good as expected and really let me down when I needed the GPS most. I learned the hard way that safety and reliability should come first, especially if you're out in the elements. Sometimes these deals just lead to more headaches if the hardware isn't up to the task...
