Hey everyone! With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching, I'm really hoping to finally snag a deal on a BMPCC. I'm specifically looking at the 4K or 6K models. Has anyone seen early rumors or predictions for good bundles, maybe including a speedbooster or SSD? What kind of discounts do you think we can realistically expect on these cameras this year?

@Reply #2 - good point! I gotta say though, last year was such a letdown for me. I waited months thinking the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K would hit some crazy low price, but it barely moved. Blackmagic just isnt that generous with the big sales unfortunately. I even tried one of those Amazon bundles and the 'free' batteries were total junk that died after twenty minutes... really not as good as expected. Ngl, if you're trying to keep the budget tight, maybe look at the used market instead of waiting for a BF miracle that might not happen. I eventually saved way more buying a clean used body and then sniping deals on the Samsung T5 1TB Portable SSD and some Core SWX Powerbase EDGE batteries separately. Those specific items actually get decent price cuts on Cyber Monday. Hang in there though, the camera itself is incredible once you get it rigged up. If you want me to check any listings you find or if you're looking for cheap cage options, just shout... I've spent way too much time hunting for deals lol.

Hey! I totally get the hunt for a deal. Honestly, from my personal experience, don't get *too* caught up waiting for some massive, mythical Black Friday drop on the BMPCCs. I snagged my 4K a while back, not even during a big sale. My quick tip: focus on getting a reliable body first, then carefully choose your accessories separately. Some bundles might not be the best quality overall. I'm super happy with my setup, works well, no complaints. You'll likely see decent, modest discounts, but probably not crazy deep cuts. Prioritize reliability!

Hey there! Yeah, I totally get the anticipation for Black Friday/Cyber Monday, especially with a beast like the BMPCC. Building on what was said, while the *camera body* itself might not see those insane doorbuster price drops, I think the real strategy, especially for a system like the BMPCC 4K or 6K, is to focus on the *ecosystem* around it.

See, with these cameras, the body is just one part of the investment. You're gonna need robust media for those BRAW files – think fast external SSDs like the Samsung T5/T7, or for the 6K Pro's higher frame rates, maybe even CFast 2.0 cards. Plus, power is a huge factor; V-mount battery solutions can get pricey, but they're a game-changer. And that speedbooster you mentioned? Absolutely essential for getting the most out of MFT or EF glass.

My practical take? Even if the camera discount is, say, a modest $100-200, seriously keep an eye out for deals on those critical accessories. Often, retailers will bundle the camera with a decent SSD, a battery pack, or a Viltrox/Metabones speedbooster at a significantly reduced combined price. That's where the real value lies, IMO, because you *will* end up buying those items anyway. So, look beyond just the camera's sticker price and evaluate the total package value. That's where you can snag a genuinely good deal on your complete setup!

Hope this helps in your hunt!
