I’m specifically interested in the HERO13 Black and any rumored new models that might drop in price. Are retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, or GoPro’s own site expected to offer better discounts or bundles (extra batteries, SD cards, mounts)?

If you’ve seen early ads, historical price trends, or have tips on when to buy during the weekend, please share. Looking to upgrade without overpaying.

Just catching up on this thread and honestly, Black Friday is the only time to buy! If you want to save the most cash, just go with DJI. You really cant go wrong with any of their latest gear, their bundles are always such a steal compared to others. I love finding those massive price drops!

  • Snag those extra batteries
  • Look for free memory cards
  • Keep an eye on bundle discounts @Reply #8 - good point! Honestly, I was looking at 360 cameras but got distracted by those cheap drone deals last year. I spent three hours trying to fly one in my backyard and ended up stuck in a tree. My neighbor had to bring a ladder over, it was so embarrassing lol. Anyway... but yeah.

Hey i am still pretty new to the action cam world but i have been obsessing over the prices lately because i really want to get a GoPro HERO13 Black without breaking the bank! One thing i havent seen anyone mention yet is checking out warehouse clubs like Costco or Sams Club if you have a membership. Usually they have these exclusive bundles for the holidays that include a really fast SD card and an extra battery or a floating handle which saves sooooo much money compared to buying them separately. Also honestly i was looking at the GoPro subscription math and it can be a bit confusing but if you sign up right when you buy the camera it sometimes knocks the price down even further on their official site. Tbh i am also keeping an eye on the official certified refurbished section on the GoPro site because those cameras look brand new and come with a full warranty but for way less money. Do you think the refurbished ones are as good as the brand new ones or should i just wait for the big Black Friday drop? I am also wondering if using a cashback site like Rakuten would work on their site to save even more.

  • Check warehouse club bundles
  • Look for official refurbished units
  • See if cashback sites apply
  • Calculate the subscription discount vs the fee I really hope this helps because trying to time the market is honestly so stressful lol!

Hey there! Oh man, planning for Black Friday 2025 already? I totally get that, seriously! I've been eyeing and actually grabbing GoPros during those sales for a good few years now, and honestly, it pays to plan ahead. You're smart to start early.

So, from my experience over the past, like, five or six Black Fridays, here's my take on your questions:

**GoPro's own site vs. major retailers (Amazon/Best Buy)?** This is a tough one, but in my experience, **GoPro's own site often has the edge, especially if you're looking for bundles.** What I've seen is that they'll often include extra batteries, mounts, or even a year of their GoPro Subscription (which is actually super handy for cloud storage and replacements, trust me!) for a price that's really hard for Amazon or Best Buy to beat. The retailers will have great camera-only deals, for sure, but if you're after the whole package, check GoPro directly first. I remember one year, I snagged a Hero 9 bundle from their site that came with a spare battery and a shorty grip, and it was significantly better than just the camera from Amazon.

**How early do the sales typically kick off?** Good question! They've been creeping earlier and earlier, honestly. Over the years, I've noticed deals starting to pop up **as early as the second week of November**. These are usually 'early bird' or 'sneak peek' deals. The really good stuff usually hits the week *before* Thanksgiving, and then obviously intensifies on Black Friday itself.

**Worth waiting for Cyber Monday?** Personally, I've found that **the best deals are usually on Black Friday itself, or even the week leading up to it.** Cyber Monday tends to be a continuation of Black Friday deals, sometimes with a few new minor offers, but the deepest cuts on the *flagship* cameras often happen earlier. If you see a deal you like on Black Friday, I'd say jump on it. I've waited for Cyber Monday before, hoping for something better, and ended up missing out on a specific bundle or accessory I wanted. Don't risk it if it's a 'must-have' price.

**Any predictions or tips?** My main tip for 2025 would be to **sign up for GoPro's email list NOW.** Seriously, they send out alerts for their deals first. Also, follow a few deal-tracking sites, but prioritize GoPro's direct emails. And always, always compare the *entire package*. A slightly cheaper camera from Amazon might not be as good a deal as a slightly more expensive bundle from GoPro direct.

Hope this helps you strategize for next year! Good luck, and let me know if you stumble upon any early intel too!

Hey there! While everyone's eyeing GoPro, I'd seriously suggest casting a wider net for 2025. From a market perspective, DJI (Osmo Action) and Insta360 are really pushing boundaries with competitive specs and often have equally aggressive Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals. Sometimes, they even offer better bundle value than GoPro's own site, especially if you're not strictly tied to the GoPro ecosystem. I've seen some fantastic early bird offers from them too. Just something to keep in mind, you might score more bang for your buck!

Hey! Wow, planning for 2025 already? That's some serious foresight, I love it! While everyone's talking about where to snag the best deal or alternative brands, I wanted to chime in from a slightly different angle, especially if you're a hands-on type.

Getting a GoPro for a great price on Black Friday could actually free up some budget for a more DIY approach to your gear, rather than relying solely on professional accessories or repair services. As an enthusiast who's tinkered with these for years, I've found that knowing your way around basic maintenance and third-party modifications can seriously extend the lifespan and utility of your camera. Think about things like sourcing generic lens protectors, custom-fabricating mounts for unique perspectives using 3D printing (there are tons of open-source designs), or even understanding how to properly clean the internal contacts or replace gaskets if you're feeling brave and out of warranty.

For instance, understanding the IPX ratings and how to properly maintain the seals yourself can prevent future water ingress issues, which often require costly official service. Or, instead of buying expensive branded external battery solutions, you can often rig up a power bank with a compatible cable for extended shoots. It really works to tailor the camera to your specific, often niche, use cases without breaking the bank. It's a decent option to consider, depending on your needs and comfort level with self-service. Hope that offers a fresh perspective!

Hey! Honestly, I've unfortunately had issues with GoPros not being as reliable when it really counted. For critical use, always prioritize safety and robust build quality over just snagging the absolute cheapest deal.

Hey! Oh man, I totally get wanting the absolute latest GoPro, but for 2025, consider this for long-term value and your budget: getting a Hero 11 or even 12 (if 13 is out) during those sales might be *way* more practical! They'll likely be discounted even *more* than the newest flagship, and honestly, the older models are still amazing for most uses. You save money upfront for accessories, and the tech jump isn't always huge for everyday shooting. Plus, if you're new, it's less of a hit if something happens! Love getting good tech for less, right?
