Is anyone else holding off on buying the Insta360 X5 360 to see what kind of Cyber Monday 2025 deals pop up?

I’ve been eyeing the X5 for travel vlogs and some car-mounted 360 shots, but the full price is a bit painful once you add in extras like the Invisible Selfie Stick, spare batteries, and maybe the premium lens guard. I missed out on last year’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday promos for the X4, so I’m trying to plan better this time around.

Thanks.

Hello, you can set price drop alert at WhenPriceDrop.com. They will alert you when price drops:

ngl i was looking into this same thing yesterday and honestly you should probably just search for it yourself to get the most up to date info. i saw a really good breakdown on youtube about this exact topic a few days ago, just search for 360 camera sale history and it should be one of the top results.

  • you might want to consider checking the reddit community for these cameras because those guys are obsessed with tracking prices and they usually post the leaks early
  • make sure to look at the official brand blog too since they tend to post their holiday schedule there first
  • be careful with some of the generic deal aggregator sites tho, sometimes the bundles they list arent actually the official ones i would suggest just setting a google alert for it so you dont have to keep checking back. thats usually what i do when i want to avoid the hype and not get burned.

Hey, I’m kinda in the same boat, but from the other side – I bought my last Insta360 (X4) *not* on Black Friday and then tracked the holiday pricing pretty closely to see what I “lost”.

**Background / what I saw:**
Last year Insta360 mostly did **bundle-focused deals**. The base camera discount was usually small (around 5–10%), but the real value came from kits where you basically got an accessory or two for “free” (stick, extra battery, lens guard, etc.). Amazon and B&H usually mirrored Insta360’s price, but Insta360’s own site sometimes threw in extra gifts or slightly better bundle configs.

**Why it matters for you:**
With 360 travel + car use, you’re definitely gonna want:
- at least **1 extra battery**
- a **good card** (1TB V30/U3 that can sustain 8K / high bitrate)
- protection (lens guard or cage)
Buying those separately at full price hurts way more than a small camera discount, tbh.

**My recommendation (FWIW):**
If the X5 follows the X4 pattern, I’d:
- Watch **Insta360’s official site first** – they usually announce their bundles early and clearly.
- Use Amazon/B&H mainly if you care about faster shipping/returns, since prices were almost identical for me.
- Aim for a **bundle that includes the Invisible Selfie Stick + extra battery**, even if the raw discount is “only” ~10–15% overall. That ended up being the best "real world" value when I did the math.

I’d personally hold off until at least Cyber Monday previews drop, unless you’ve got a trip before then. I’m happy I waited last year – the kit I got basically covered an extra battery and stick for free.

Hope this helps!

Hey, I totally get holding off – the X5 + accessories adds up fast.

From a more nerdy / numbers angle, here’s what I’ve seen the last few years watching X3/X4 and RS deals:

1) **Body vs bundles**
Insta360 usually protects the core body price and plays more with *bundles* and *freebies*. Expect something like 5–10% off the body at best, but more realistically: normal body price + discounted “Travel/Creator/Adventure Kit” where the effective accessory discount works out closer to 15–20%.

2) **Official site vs Amazon/B&H/Best Buy**
- **Official site**: tends to have the broadest bundle combos and “free extra battery / selfie stick / lens guard” type promos. Good if you want multiple accessories anyway.
- **Amazon/B&H/Best Buy**: sometimes do a straight camera discount (like $30–$60 off) but weaker accessory value. Better if you’re okay buying 3rd-party stuff (Ulanzi stick, generic batteries, etc.).

3) **Memory + battery angle**
1TB cards from Insta360 are usually overpriced compared to Samsung/WD/SanDisk on Amazon. Honestly, I’d *not* chase a 1TB card in the Insta360 bundle unless the effective discount is huge. It’s often cheaper to:
- Grab the **camera + official extra battery** in a bundle.
- Buy a vetted 1TB U3/V30 card separately during Amazon’s own Cyber Monday sale.

4) **What I’d do if I were you**
- Watch Insta360’s **official store first** for: X5 base + extra batt + selfie stick bundle. That’s typically the sweet spot for travel + car mounting use.
- Then cross-check Amazon/B&H for: slightly cheaper body + separate battery + 3rd party stick and your own 1TB card.

If your budget is tight, I’d prioritize: **body > extra battery > decent card > selfie stick > premium lens guard**. You can always add the guard later if you’re careful at first.

Hope this helps you game the sales a bit!

Hey, cost-conscious angle here too!

Background: Insta360’s holiday deals are nice, but they’re not usually life‑changing. I’ve tracked X3/X4 and a lot of the time you’re looking at ~5–10% off the body and bigger “value” on bundles (extra battery, selfie stick, small case) rather than a massive price cut.

Why it matters: It’s really easy to overbuy in the hype. You can end up paying more for a “discounted” bundle than if you just cherry‑picked what you’ll actually use. And returns are a pain if you realize later you didn’t need half the stuff.

What I’d do (super practical approach):
- **Decide your real kit now**: X5 + 1 extra battery + 1TB card + selfie stick + *maybe* lens guard. Price that out at full retail.
- **Set a hard cap**: e.g. “If total drops by at least $X (say 10–15%), I buy. If not, I wait / buy used.” This keeps you from panic‑buying a bigger bundle “because sale.”
- **Watch multiple places**: Insta360 site for bundles, Amazon/B&H for body-only or card deals. Sometimes retailers don’t beat the camera price but have cheaper 1TB cards or third‑party accessories, which is where you really save.
- **Consider splitting the purchase**: Grab the X5 body if it hits a decent discount, then hunt for cheaper batteries/cards outside the Insta360 ecosystem. Official accessories are fantastic but not always the best $/value.

If you’re strict on budget, I’d absolutely wait, but go in with a pre‑planned shopping list and max spend. That’s saved me way more than chasing “biggest % off” banners.

Hope this helps! Happy to sanity‑check a bundle if you post what you’re considering.

If you’re safety‑minded, I’d actually split it like this: Option A = wait for Insta360’s own Cyber Monday bundle (usually safer for warranty/returns and legit batteries); Option B = chase slightly cheaper Amazon/B&H deals; Option C = buy early at full price from an official dealer. A/B might save you 5–15%, but for car‑mounted 360 shots I’d prioritize: official mounts with rated load, genuine batteries/chargers (no sketchy 3rd‑party stuff), and buying from somewhere that handles returns smoothly if the camera overheats or glitches. For pure safety/reliability, I think Option A or C from Insta360 or a big authorized store is the best bet, even if the discount’s smaller.

Long‑term X-series owner here: the *real* cost is batteries, lens guards and sticks, so Cyber Monday bundle discounts matter way more than a tiny price cut on the body. I’d wait and target an official X5 kit with extra battery + lens protection rather than chasing the absolute lowest body price somewhere like Amazon.

Hey, chiming in with a slightly different angle: **where you live and how/when you shoot** can actually change which Cyber Monday deal makes the most sense.

### Option A – Buy X5 from Insta360 global store
**Best if you’re in mild / consistent climates** (EU/US/Japan-ish)
- Pros:
- Insta360 usually ships the main “global” bundles (Travel/Creator/etc.) from their own store first.
- You typically get the safer warranty path if anything dies in heat/cold/humidity.
- Their kits often include batteries that are rated for the camera’s full temp envelope (check spec sheet, but usually around -20°C to 40°C operating, with charging limits tighter).
- Cons:
- Shipping times can be rough if you’re far from their regional warehouses.
- Regional VAT/import fees can kill the “discount” if you’re outside US/EU.

### Option B – Amazon / B&H / Best Buy in **hot or very cold climates**
**Best if you’re in desert heat, very cold winters, or super humid places**
- Pros:
- I live in a place that goes from -15°C winters to 40°C summers. My X-series batteries bought via B&H and Best Buy held up better because I could easily return the duds that swelled or underperformed in heat.
- US retailers often do their own bundles: extra **OEM** battery + fast UHS-I / V30 or V60 card that’s actually rated for high temps. Cheap cards from no-name Cyber Monday deals will overheat and throttle when you’re doing 5.7K/8K 360 in a hot car mount.
- Cons:
- Discounts are usually more conservative on the body (5–10%) but bundles can be strong.
- Stock for “cold weather” accessories (battery kits, fast chargers) can sell out early.

### Option C – Local/regional resellers (especially if you’re in very humid or coastal areas)
**Best if you’re in SE Asia, coastal Australia, islands, etc.**
- Pros:
- Humidity and salt air *will* mess with lens coatings and contacts. Local dealers sometimes do **weather‑focused bundles** on Cyber Monday: lens guards + cases + silica packs + legit USB-C cables.
- Warranty is way easier if you get corrosion or random boot issues after a wet season.
- I’ve seen local shops in humid regions run 10–15% off accessory bundles while the camera body is only 5% off. That’s still a win, because you’re gonna kill at least one lens guard if you’re near sand or spray.
- Cons:
- Camera body discount might be smaller vs Insta360 direct.
- Stock can be super limited vs Amazon.

### So what would I do, practically?
- **Very hot climate / car mounting a lot:** Watch Amazon/B&H for a kit with *known-good* high-temp microSD (Sandisk Extreme / Lexar Professional) + extra OEM battery. You do *not* want a bargain no-name card in a hot cabin.
- **Cold climate / winter travel vlogs:** Prioritize an extra battery + fast charger bundle from a retailer with an easy return policy. Cold kills battery performance; a 5–10% discount on body matters less than reliable power.
- **Humid/coastal:** Look for Cyber Monday deals where the premium lens guard + case + maybe ND filters are bundled locally. Protecting the lenses in salty air is more important than squeezing another 5% off the body.

If you share where you’re based (rough region & typical temps), it’s easier to say which of A/B/C is the best play for your budget. But yeah, with climate in the mix, I’d aim for **best accessory bundle for your local conditions**, not just the deepest headline % off on the camera.

Hope this helps!

If you’re purely budget/ROI focused, I’d frame it as: **Option A = Insta360 X5**, **Option B = GoPro Max 2 (or whatever replaces it by then)**, **Option C = Qoocam / cheap 360 alternatives**. A: X5 will almost definitely get *some* official bundle discount + accessories on Cyber Monday, but Insta360 usually keeps margins tight (think modest % off, better value in kits). B: GoPro + retailers (Amazon/B&H/Best Buy) sometimes run *deeper* headline discounts on the body, but weaker ecosystem for 360 vs Insta360 and the software workflow isn’t as nice if you’re doing lots of reframing. C: Cheaper 360 brands might look tempting with big % cuts, but resale, firmware support, and accessory ecosystem are weaker, so total cost of ownership isn’t actually better long‑term. If you’re serious about travel vlogs + car rigs, I’d stick with **Option A**, watch Insta360’s site first for bundles (battery + stick + card), then cross‑check Amazon/B&H to see if they undercut on the body only. That’ll keep you under budget without locking you into a weaker platform.

Hey, DIY angle here because I’m the type who squeezes every cent out of these sales.

I’d split it like this:

**Option A – Wait for official Cyber Monday bundles ("pro service" route)**
Pros: simple, everything matches, warranty-safe, usually a clean Creator/Travel kit.
Cons: you pay for convenience, accessory choices are locked, discount is decent but not surgical.

**Option B – DIY bundle from different stores**
Pros: this is where you can really win. I’d suggest: camera from wherever it’s cheapest (often Insta360 or Amazon flash), then build your own kit:
- Invisible stick: often cheaper 3rd‑party on Amazon during CM
- Extra batteries: I’d still buy *official* ones (be careful with knockoffs – had one swell on me once)
- 1TB card: grab a Samsung Pro Plus / Sandisk Extreme on separate storage deals, way cheaper than “included” cards
You can easily beat Insta360’s bundle price this way if you’re willing to cherry-pick.

**Option C – Hybrid DIY (my usual)**
Grab an official camera + minimal bundle (like basic kit if it’s only slightly more than body), then add storage, mounts, and car gear from other CM deals. Best mix of safety + savings IMO.

If you’re patient and organized, I’d *definitely* lean DIY this year: set price alerts now for “X5 body”, “1TB microSD”, and “Insta360 battery” on Amazon/B&H, then compare to Insta360’s site when they announce their campaign.

For travel vlogs and car shots, you don’t need every official accessory day one anyway… just good storage, 1–2 real batteries, and a solid mount.

Hope this helps!
