Anyone keeping an eye on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Cyber Monday deals for 2025? I’m thinking of upgrading from an older Fold and trying to time my purchase. Do Cyber Monday discounts usually beat pre-order or trade-in offers, especially for unlocked models or carrier promos? When and where should I be watching for the best Fold7 deal?

You can set price drop alert at WhenPriceDrop.com. They will alert you when price drops:

To add to the point above: honestly, if you're looking for the best bang for your buck, you gotta be careful with those standard retail prices. Samsung usually does these crazy enhanced trade-in values during the Black Friday window that actually beat the early pre-order deals sometimes.

  • Make sure to check the Samsung Education or Workplace portals if you can. They usually stack with holiday discounts and can save you another 50 or 100 bucks easily.
  • I would suggest looking into Samsung Care+ 2-Year Plan because even with a good deal, fixing these folding screens out of pocket is a total nightmare for the budget. Worth the peace of mind.
  • Keep an eye on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 512GB Unlocked specifically on their official site. They often do a free storage upgrade during Cyber Week which is basically a 100 plus dollar savings right there.
  • Definitely grab a rugged case like the Spigen Tough Armor Pro for Galaxy Z Fold7 right away. Protecting the hinge is priority number one for keeping the resale value high later on. tbh I would wait for the actual Monday morning flash bundles. Sometimes they toss in a pair of buds for basically nothing just to clear stock...

I have been looking at the deals too but honestly I am always a bit nervous about pulling the trigger too early because of the hardware reliability. From my own experience with my current setup:

  • I actually waited a few weeks after the initial launch hype because I wanted to see if anyone reported hinge failures or screen issues after a few hundred folds.
  • With the one I got last time, I spent more time reading the fine print on the protection plan than looking at the actual discount price because I am paranoid about screen bleed.
  • Even though the savings look good, I am always worried about that internal screen ribbon cable basically giving up if I catch a bad unit from a specific manufacturing batch. It is definitely a balancing act between getting a good price and making sure the device actually lasts more than a year lol. I am still undecided if I want to jump on the holiday promos or wait a bit longer to see how the early units hold up in the wild???

Building on the earlier suggestion, make sure to consider the long-term durability before you jump on any deal. Galaxy Folds are awesome but the screen protector is usually the first thing to fail. I would suggest getting a Whitestone Dome Silk Screen Protector Kit and learning how to apply it yourself... it saves a ton of money over the official repair path. Also, be careful with those free carrier promos. They usually require the highest tier unlimited plan which might cost you way more over two years than just buying the phone outright. If you're going to be using that massive inner screen for work, you're gonna want a Anker 737 Power Bank 140W in your bag. Battery life on these is just okay, not great. Personally, it might be better to wait for the open-box units at Best Buy to hit the shelves about a week after Cyber Monday. People buy them on impulse then realize they don't like the form factor and return them for a massive discount. Just check the hinge for any crunching sounds as soon as you get it.
