Here are the best accessories to enhance your DJI Osmo Action 6 experience.

Essential Battery Accessories

The Action 6 comes with four-hour battery life from its enhanced 1950mAh high-capacity Battery Plus, capable of operating in cold temperatures as low as -4°F. However, for extended shooting sessions, additional power solutions are crucial.

Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus provides reliable backup power and fast charging technology allows you to power up the battery for a 2-hour charge in just 15 minutes. An Adventure Combo adds two extra batteries, a multifunctional battery case, and a 1.5m extension rod.

The Osmo Multifunctional Battery Case 3 is particularly valuable, as this accessory allows users to charge multiple batteries simultaneously and safely store them in cold environments where battery performance often suffers. The 3 batteries and charging hub are the same 1950mAh which are used in – and so are interchangeable with – the Osmo 360.

Professional Lens Attachments

The Action 6 introduces swappable lenses, opening up new creative possibilities. Creators can achieve a shallow depth of field using the Macro Lens accessory (sold separately). A Macro Lens dramatically drops minimum focus distance—from around 35 cm on the previous model to about 11 cm—meaning you can get lovely, clear shots of your gear, dashboard, and even a trail's-eye view, too.

FOV Boost Lens expands your creative range by increasing the field of view from 155 to 182 degrees. This ultra-wide perspective is perfect for immersive action shots and capturing expansive landscapes.

Accessories like the Macro Lens, FOV Boost Lens, and ND Filter Set are sold separately. The ND Filter Set helps control exposure in bright conditions, working harmoniously with the camera's f/2.0 to f/4.0 range variable aperture system.

Mounting and Stabilization Solutions

Osmo Dual-Direction Quick-Release Adapter Mount features significant improvements over previous generations. The company upgraded its Quick-Release Adapter Mount to a dual-latch system (first introduced on the Osmo Nano) that "can be attached in either direction without mechanical limitations." That's a big quality-of-life improvement over the old mounts, which could only be attached one way.

The Osmo 1.5m Extension Rod included in the Adventure Combo provides versatile positioning options for dynamic shots. On the base of the camera is DJI's magnet-assisted clip system and in the box are attachments which will connect it to the now slightly old-school – but very well established and reliable – three-pronged mount which has been around since the early days of GoPro. It is one of these which is used to attach the camera to the selfie stick in the 'Adventure Combo', and allow easy angle adjustment.

Audio Enhancement Accessories

Audio quality is crucial for professional content creation. The Action 6 can directly pair with two DJI microphone transmitters at once — including Mic 2, Mic 3, and Mic Mini — without needing a receiver. This feature is perfect for interview-style vlogging, two-person travel content, or recording ambient sound and voice-over simultaneously.

DJI Mic 2 offers a portable, easy-to-mount audio solution with 32-bit float recording. Pair it with the OsmoAudio system, which supports two DJI mic transmitters without needing a receiver, and the Action 6 becomes a fully capable standalone vlogging rig.

Protective and Storage Accessories

Osmo Action Curved Adhesive Base and Osmo Locking Screw ensure secure mounting in challenging environments. The camera already features impressive durability with IP68 rating with 20m waterproofing out of the box — 60m with the waterproof case.

For underwater adventures, the DJI Waterproof Case extends diving capabilities, while a built-in color temperature sensor corrects underwater footage automatically, and the pressure gauge logs dive data.

The Osmo Action Anti-Slip Pad provides additional grip security during intense action sequences, complementing the camera's IP68 rated, waterproof to 20 m without housing, 60 m with housing, rated down to -20°C for skiing and cold-weather shooting capabilities.

Storage and Connectivity

With 50GB from 47GB before, so you can largely shoot without a memory card, though a microSD slot is also available. However, high-speed microSD cards remain valuable for extended recording sessions and with Wi-Fi 6.0 and USB 3.1, data transfers climb up to 300MB/s, meaning you spend less time waiting and more time recording.

Here are my top accessory picks after testing it out:

Must-Have Essentials:
ND filters are launching alongside the Osmo Action 6, and they're game-changers for controlling exposure in bright conditions, especially with the new variable aperture range of f/2.0 to f/4.0. The new Macro Lens is incredible for close-up shots - totally transforms the camera's versatility.

Mounting Solutions:
The revised dual-direction magnetic mount allows for faster attachment in any orientation, which makes swapping between mounts super smooth. For biking, the kit includes the Dual-Direction Mini Handlebar Mount to capture views ahead. The magnetic quick-release interface, now upgraded to a two-way quick-release design makes everything so much easier.

Power & Storage:
Extra batteries are essential since the camera can shoot for up to 4 hours on a single battery. The Adventure Combo includes two additional batteries and one battery case, which is perfect for longer shoots.

Audio Enhancement:
If you're into vlogging, it can connect directly to two DJI microphone transmitters via the OsmoAudio™ ecosystem without needing a separate receiver - this is honestly revolutionary for content creators!

The Action 6's 50GB of internal storage is also clutch as backup when you forget your SD card. Overall, this camera's ecosystem integration is next-level!

Hey there! Congrats on the new Osmo Action 6, that's awesome! I totally get wanting to deck it out right away. So, for bike mounts, I've tried a few things, and honestly, the official DJI Handlebar Mount is pretty solid. It's a bit pricier, maybe around $30-$40, but it feels really secure, which is crucial when you're bombing down a trail. I had issues with some cheaper generic ones that just wouldn't stay put and I ended up with shaky footage or worse, a near-disaster.

Audio, though... that's where I've had more of a headache. The built-in mic is okay for casual stuff, but for anything with wind or background noise, it's not as good as I'd hoped. I experimented with those little foam wind muffs, and they help a bit, but they look kinda janky and sometimes muffle the sound too much. I haven't pulled the trigger on a dedicated external mic setup yet, mostly due to cost and complexity while riding, but I've been eyeing some Rode options. For now, I'm just trying to be mindful of wind direction and keep the camera pointed away from direct airflow when possible. It's a trade-off, for sure. Hope this helps you avoid some of my early frustrations!

Hello! The DJI Osmo Action 6 is a great choice. For essential accessories, I'd highly recommend starting with extra batteries and the multifunctional charging case for extended shooting. A high-speed microSD card is crucial for reliable recording. Consider versatile magnetic quick-release mounts and an extension rod/tripod for flexible shooting angles. ND filters are excellent for controlling exposure in bright conditions. Finally, an external DJI Mic significantly enhances audio quality for vlogging.
